I truly love being at Lambeau Field. I don't know how to explain it. From the first time I walked in as kid to shovel to attending games in January. It just puts me in awe and makes me smile big. I felt the electricity in that place. All we needed was one huge play to get us ignited and it just didn't really happen. The Christian Watson big catch was good, but by that time I think the writing was on the wall. We really needed an explosive play first half.
I gotta say though, this is the first game I've attended where the opposing team was probably 25-30% there in force. Behind the visitor bench was an impossible not to notice sea of Honolulu blue.
I am starting to wonder if buying Packers season tickets, or maybe at least being a season ticket holder is a financial venture of some sorts. Let's say the tickets cost $150 and you know you can sell them for $250 or more. You can pick and choose which games you want to attend while making a little cash. One of those buy low, sell high tactics.
I wouldn't tell anyone what they can or cannot do with their tickets. Nope, that's not me. I will say it is disheartening to see so much color that is not green or yellow. I don't mind seeing some of the opposing fan base. Hell, I had some good bantering going on with the lone Lions fan in our little area. Granted, when he said "oh, I was born after he retired" when I said I grew up a idolizing Barry Sanders --- I wanted to toss his ass over the railing. It was still fun.
While on the note of the less than awesome side of things. It's kind of obnoxious how we're asked to be loud nearly every single snap on defense. I understand Bill Jartz is probably told to do this. I just find it annoying. I think it actually wonder if it wears out the fans by the second half.
