Just a heads up that the Joe Rogan Experience just posted an episode with 12 as the guest. Listening now. Unsurprisingly, the starting topic was the vaccine drama from last year.

I wish 12 woukd of gotten reps in the preseason instead of his hippie views on Rogans show. Brady played his final preseason because he actually wants to win and knows how important it is to get in tune with your offense.

He talked about how stooges cam in to pressure the vaxx on everyone. Some things are more important than football.

If he hadn’t missed training camp, I seriously doubt Brady would’ve played a single snap.

I'll add that it seems pretty unanimous that preseason has evolved into something that's useless for veteran players. If you're 0-5 years in the league, preseason reps can help, but usually just to find you a roster spot on that team or putting tape out there for others. What veteran players and a lot of coaches have said is practice reps are the most important.

Yet, when Rodgers missed OTA's, that are voluntary, the circus media clowns ran wild with that.

By your logic, traing camp should be useless to a vet as well.

Anyhow, the explanation I've heard/read about preseason being without much purpose is that no game planning nor scheming nor doing anything other than basic vanilla offense and defense. Hence, why practice holds more value because you're actually working on timing, schemes, etc. That being said, nearly everyone says it is nice to hit someone else for a change. A former player (AQ Shipley maybe?) on the Pat McAfee show also said that fringe players like the competitiveness and definitely want to win those games.

Matt LaFleur said one thing he likes about preseason is seeing how the young guys react when the "lights are on" and in front of a big crowd. Again, that is more towards those young guys, not the veterans.
