that was too scary. i know the drivers are blaming it on the restrictor plates, but I don't think getting rid of them is the answer. If this were a NASCAR forum i'd probably get flamed for saying this (and that may happen here too, lol), but what they need to do is restrict the carb even more. slowing those guys down just a little more would greatly help to make sure this doesn't happen again with a worst case scenario ending.

i was seated in the 4th row at talladega right around that area about 6 years ago & i can guarandamntee ya i'da pee pee'd in my panties for sure!!!

if I remember right, Rusty was performing a test of the communications systems at high speed. And yeah, he hit 238 on the track by himself. Today they gain 10-15 MPH in the draft. So they would easily be 250+ now.

Instead of restrictor plates, I would like to see them drop to 6 cylinder unrestricted cars. Would limit the speed, and also put some emphasis back on building as much HP with what is provided.
