I hope he does crappy! 😜
It's hard for me to pull for someone that chooses to leave "my" team.
I can't imagine that Rodgers isn't feeling like he got kicked in the nads. I mean, he built up this working friendship with Adams, and Adams chooses to go play with his college buddy.
Rodgers must feel like a dumped long time girlfriend.

At least that's what I think.

Today, Davante Adams said he likes backup Jordan Love, but not knowing how long Aaron Rodgers was going to be with the Packers was a big factor in decision to push for trade to the Raiders.

Does this mean Adams thinks Derek Carr is better than Jordan Love??!?!?!?

Carr is a proven NFL QB. Love is not. Of course it's not Love's fault.
And Adams had played with Carr, and knows what to expect. With Love, it could take years to get that connection. If it ever develops at all. I don't know if Adams has that kind of time left.
So..... I don't like that Adams left, but I understand it.

Devante Adams is coming off two completely dominant years, and he's been pretty good for the last 6. I don't see a sharp decline in his future, but hey, it is the Raiders so you never know. I think Adams' situation is closer to DeAndre Hopkins leaving Houston than any recent Packer's WR - an elite WR switching teams in his prime. It wouldn't surprise me to see Adams put up 1400 yards and 15 TDs if he stays healthy for 17 games.

I would say it's more likely that the Packers and Raiders both win in the Adams trade (ala the Vikings and Bills with the Diggs trade), or the Raiders end up as winners here than it is that Devante Adams suddenly forgets how to play WR.

Here are the last three years for some of the Packer's WRs that went to other teams. Rec/yards/tds.

Adams:
107/1308/11.3

Nelson:
83/1086/11*

Cobb:
68/549/3.3

Jones:
54/745/8

Jennings:
60/880/8.3

Only Nelson was anywhere near as good as Adams has been, but Nelson had three years of steady decline before he left. Nelson's year in Oakland was a significant rebound from his last with the Packer's. *Nelson missed 2015 entirely so I used 2014 for the 3 year average - his stats look much worse if I use 2015: 50/580/6.7

Jones was roughly the same guy after he left for the Raiders and then came back to GB the year later, before finally retiring. His average per catch went down considerably during his year in Oakland but he had roughly career average levels of yards and TDs. Reliable #2 kind of guy for most of his career.

Jennings with the Vikings had a year that was equivalent to the 3 prior in Green Bay, and much better than his last season with the Packer's.

Outside of 2014 and 2015 (Nelson's lost season), Cobb has been a #2 sort of guy. His return last year wasn't any better than his seasons in Dallas and Houston. His year in Dallas was the best he had played since 2015, with Andy Dalton throwing to him most of the year.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.

Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
