It's not silly, it's a fact. And that is OK! He made an impact after a handful of games. Nothing to shy away from. But he did not beast from the jump, because that would mean Week 1. He didn't even earn a starting spot until like Week 5.

Making an impact your first year still is considered an impact player. Doesnt matter if he started to catch fire in week 1 or week 6. He was clearly our best pass rusher and caused havoc from the moment he took the field.

The defense was better the moment Clay first walked on the grass in week one of 2009.

The Packers indeed did make the playoffs that year, due in large part to the beast that walked onto the grass in week 1.
