Seahawks supposively want two first for him, as he's young and a great kid.

I seriously doubt the Packets want to trade their draft capital for a guy that needs an expensive new veteran contract soon.

Packers need to go cheap (do to limited cap space) and that's through the draft.

Wow, so you are defending Metcalf's actions in the Packers game. The Seahawks got owned all day and Metcalf lashed out with a temper tantrum. That isn't being "competitive", that is being a sore loser. You say he was "rightfully ejected", but you also imply he has a right to do what he did because the Seahawks were being shutout, you want him pissed or you think he should be "traded" or "fired." I say, if you are "pissed" about getting beat badly on the field, then play better to change the outcome. A player should NEVER lash out with a temper tantrum. Ridiculous to defend his actions. Would you teach your son to "grab" and "push" the other teams facemasks when he is upset his team is losing?

You "hear the exact opposite" from Russell Wilson on getting along with Metcalf? Wilson also said he didn't want to be traded from the Seahawks. Then forced a trade out of Seattle.

Cool that you are a fan of Metcalf and think he is a "great kid." Good luck with that. Many do not share your opinion of him.

He absolutely did throw a temper tantrum where he grabbed other people muliple times and especially with the game basically being over, I thought the refs did the smart thing and got him out of there.

But yes, I'm happy to see passion and players being pissed off when their team is getting killed... instead of just being disengaged or accepting they're a loser.

And Russell Wilson probably didn't want to be traded from the Seahawks, but more importantly to him, was getting away from dictator Pete Carroll (dictator as there is no checks and balances since owner Paul Allen died), Carroll whom doesn't seem to understand modern NFL passing attacks and run the ball for 3 quarters and then ask the QB to dig him out of the hole in the 4th quarter.

I'm not sure he's defending DK as much as he's explaining what happened based on his opinion. He could also be saying it was an isolated incident in which no one was physically hurt.

There was basically zero chance of serious bodily injury such as a single punch would cause. And if we want to start criticizing players for post play pushing every once in a while, that's what 25% or more of the entire NFL? Especially when their unit is being killed out there.

Yeah, if there is indeed another vet worthy of signing. I don't just want to sign another vet just to sign a vet. I'd rather keep some of the cap space for in season moves that need to be made due to injury etc.

If, as you say, the Packers draft 2 WRs early, I could live with a WR room made up of Lazard, Watkins, Olave, Cobb, Christian Watson, and Amari Rodgers. I think that could be a rather formidable group.

Assuming none of them have a major injury or major drop off in talent, I think these four are going to be on Week 1 53.
WR Allen Lazard
WR Randall Cobb
WR Amari Rodgers
WR Sammy Watkins

I wouldn't be surprised if they kept 7 WR (again), but I'm think 6 is more likely and I think it'll be two rookie WR's or one veteran and one rookie. I am also of the belief that a QB and offensive scheme makes WR's more so than WR makes the QB and/or offensive scheme.

How many WR were considered really good, left their team and flourished elsewhere? I can't think of too many, but can name off a lot who weren't the "same" after moving on. That's another reason I don't really want to see Packers giving up draft capital when they need to get a big younger and deeper.

Love the "moving on" aspect. After all, as Zero pointed out, this is about Sammy.

Ironically when I started this page I wanted to mention how Florio is so fanatical about spinning anything related to the Green Bay Packers in a negative light.

OF COURSE Mikey, the Packers need more than Watkins. Nobody thought he would be all they need. He's has some dumb comments over the years but this just might be one of his dumbest.

beast (6h) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (6h) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (16h) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (16h) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (18h) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (19h) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job

dfosterf (20h) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (21h) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (21h) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (21h) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (21h) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (21h) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Nah, you see Lions OC leaving to be HC of Bears is directly related to Packers.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ohhhhhhh Zero is in TROUBLE
packerfanoutwest (21-Jan) : Zero, per your orders, check Bearshome, not packershome
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Then he'll land with another team and flourish.
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Ben going to Bears. He'll be out in 3 years.
Mucky Tundra (20-Jan) : what's so funny?
