What is the best approach the Packers can take to get a WR for a deep threat? Re-sign 27 year old Marquez Valdes-Scantling who can't seem to get on the same page with Aaron Rodgers or try someone else? Heck, maybe re-sign 83 AND bring in another WR?

A few names I've heard that might help open up the offense.

WR Will Fuller
WR Allen Robinson
WR D.J. Chark
WR Jamison Crowder
WR Sammy Watkins
WR John Ross
WR Andy Isebella (requested to be traded)
WR Christian Kirk
WR Marquise Goodwin

I was thinking that we would re-sign MVS for sure if we let Davante walk, but that looks like it may not to be the case. I wouldn't be surprised if we try and fill the deep threat role in the draft. Perhaps we can get Christian Watson or Alec Pierce in the second round. Both guys can run fast and fill that role.

I can't even guess best approach until we get under the cap limit.

In the 2021 training camp, supposively MVS fixed his drops issue but due to the OL rebuilding we didn't get to go deep as often.

I think resigning MVS or signing a veteran would be smart, but the question is at what price point?

I think signing a vet AND grabbing a rookie both would be smart.

Also note, someone like Tennessee's WR Velus Jones JR. is 6', ran a 4.32 and can be a returner, and wasn't expected to be a high draft pick as he hasn't done much at WR.

But Packers could use some gadget player to run sweeps and stuff as well.

I'm hoping Packers sign

WR MVS
TE Jared Cook
WR Julio Jones or Will Fuller (whichever you think is most likely to stay healthy) and maybe Tonyan

OL JC Tretter
RT Dennis Kelly or Bryan Bulaga

CB Douglas
OLB Z Smith or DL Calais Campbell

Then draft...

Sounds like Deebo might be on the block, long as we're throwing large sums of money around.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy

dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
