Per a source, the Packers we’re willing to pay Adams equally to what the Raiders are with this new deal but Adams preferred to play elsewhere.

Aaron Rodgers was aware of the developments with Adams as they unfolded in recent days.

The Packers will get two draft picks in return: The Raiders’ first-round pick at No. 22 and their second-round choice at No. 53. Along with Green Bay’s choices at No. 28 and No. 59, the Packers are slated to have four of the top 59 selections

I wonder why Adams got a hair up his butt. Do you think Rodgers’ waffling over the past couple of years alienated him? Or was he pissed that the Packers never managed to amass a real corps of talent behind him?

The man is already thirty, if I’m not mistaken, with at least three concussions on his ledger. The Raiders have a decent, but hardly elite, quarterback. Is there truly any realistic prospect that this enormous investment will pay off for them? After all, Packers receivers haven’t exactly lit up the league after leaving Green Bay. I strongly suspect the answer is no, and I think that if they draft wisely, the Packers will get the better end of this deal.

Darn. I really thought he was going to be a Packer.
I'm surprised AR signed here if he knew Adams was leaving

Guess we will see how AR responds without his guy.

It's a win-win-win. Packers win. Raiders win. Adams wins. I love it.

I’m not crazy about the front office leaking that they were willing to match the Raiders’ offer; it makes them look weak, or worse, like a jilted girl. Unless it was just a ploy to drive up his price.

wpr (26-Jun) : 1st world owners/stockholders problems dfosterf.
Martha Careful (25-Jun) : I would have otherwise admirably served
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Also, no more provision for a write-in candidate, so Martha is off the table at least for this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy

dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
