Discussion of what Aaron's contract might be.

I feel like it’s already considered to be one of the worst first round picks in history. It was pretty obvious that Rodgers still had a lot of gas left in the tank when they drafted him. I’ve never liked that selection and I still don’t.

Broken Collarbone in 2017 that reports out there were saying he couldn't regain his form. 2018 he started all 16 games and threw 25 TD's (only 2 INT's) and over 4,000 yards. 2019 he started all 16 games and threw 26 TD's (only 4 INT's) and 4,002 yards. The Packers moved up to with a WR in mind and if that WR wasn't available, they felt the QB was just as good for the FRANCHISE long-term. You don't draft a QB when you need one because it's too late.

It's funny how fast we forget how so many were saying Rodgers was done or nearing the end the seasons prior to the 2020 draft. And then he rattles off 2 MVP's and suddenly the Packers were stupid for drafting a QB when everything was showing their legend at QB was declining.

The worst case scenario here is the Packers have a capable backup on a reasonable salary.

People don't realize how close Love is, or what his skillset is like.

If he gets traded, it's because Aaron doesn't want him around.

People hated drafting Gary until suddenly he got the playing time in year 3 and showed he has something. People loved 2018 draft when they got Josh Jackson (A first round pick in the second round.) The same people hated wasting the first round pick on JA. Back in 2016 Kenny Clark didn't look all that special and some (Many) were willing to throw him under the bus.
Rookies almost always look bad. They only get better with time. Love has had no on the field time at all. There is no way to develop without getting real playing time. You can only do so much sitting in a classroom or on a practice field.
Aaron Almighty looked lousy his first two seasons. He got a little playing time his 3rd season and it helped. It wasn't until his 5th year in the league that he really started to show that he was something special.
As far as this topic, I wish we had the real information about Aaron's contract. It seems as if there are several options out there depending on who they bring back.

I'm all about the Packers taking the best player available per their board. Your needs in April are not your needs in December. You cannot have too many good players.
