Randall Cobb expects to be back, on different deal

Jason Wilde just now on @WildeAndTausch, after texting with Randall Cobb on Sunday… Randall expects to be back with the Packers in 2022 and he doesn’t expect to play on his current deal.

I Tweeted something similar. Cobb probably going to be cut, but re-signed with a better deal OR if they can in time just give him a new deal.

He did make some huge catches last season, so I wouldn't mind having him back.

I like Cobb. He will be in the Packer HoF someday.
That said he is a shell of the player he was a few years ago. Fewest targets, receptions and yards since his rookie year. He may bounce back from what he did last year but the bar is set so low that isn't saying very much.
Still coming back for less money will help. MVS is gone. That's ok. If Cobb is their 3rd down possession receiver and makes 3 key catches a game it will be worth it.
