I'm pleased that Aaron Rodgers expects Jordy Nelson and Jared Cook to be back soon, but for some weird reason, I have far less optimistic expectations. How do you all feel?

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers said he thinks wide receiver Jordy Nelson and tight end Jared Cook are close to returning from PUP

We will see them when we see them. If they are about to come off the PUP, great.

The first 12 games of the season don't really grab my excitement or interest all that much. If players start missing games that last quarter of the season, that's when I get concerned.

Missing practices? Nah, I'm not concerned. I think Clay Matthews missed his first entire exhibition seasons and I believe he has turned out okay. I'm just not that optimistic about them coming back for practice because I've seen too many players dance around skipping practices and still show up when the games count.

Fact is Green Bay's TC started a week or so early, so they're probably just holding these guys out for that reason. But we've seen guys with ostensibly minor abrasions miss entire years and even have their careers end. We've been snake bit. We do not know what to expect, at all.

We got an extra week of practice and haven't even started the "regular" preseason yet. I'm not too worried about it, especially with Jordy. He just needs enough time to get confident on his knee other than that I don't care to see him in any of the fake games anyways.

The offense hasn't exactly been lighting it thus far.
