Wait, did Rodgers actually say that, or someone putting words in his mouth?

I ask, because I wonder if it might be a sign the Packers will rebuild...

As I thought the Packers had two options, 1) Rebuild by getting rid of a lot of the more expensive contracts or 2) Turn almost all the one year deals into long term deals to spread out the cap... as the NFL knows it's getting a massive cap jump in 2023, Packers would just be spending it early and could take 1-3 more cracks at the Super Bowl while keeping a majority of the team together.

Semantics here, but I think they just need to retool, not rebuild. I think they can let guys like Zadarius and Davante walk and still use regular season for growth and get hot towards end of the season ala 2010. Thing is though, Rodgers needs to trust his guys, or at least play like he does. It could be just me, but it seems crunch time he focuses on WR1 Adams far too much and ignores taking what defenses give him.

But it sounded like they were going to franchise tag Adams and he was the only non-RB to get open....

They need more offensive weapons, better STs, and more DBs (because they're lacking at Safety and CB has a ton of FAs), plus a DT or two.

I think Aaron Rodgers needs to be suspended for about five games that way the Packers have to get in on wild card. Appears being top two seed doesn't work out well. Needs that "underdog" chip!

Well.....look what Rodgers has done when Adams wasn’t playing. He spread the ball around.
Maybe if they let Adams go, Rodgers would actually improve, as he didn’t have his “baby blanky” to watch every play.

Wow crazy on how things work and now we have the last lesson Rodgers learned from Favre. Will he or won't he retire pt 2.

Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

QBs in the league always whine about not having enough weapons, or blaming the front office for ignoring glaring issues with the team. Always complaining about having no defense. I think most of those argument are out the window after this season. They overpaid to get Cobb here to make Rodgers happy, and they signed guys on defense when we needed help.

You want more weapons, Aaron? How about taking a massive paycut - with all those endorsements, I have to imagine money isn't an issue. Lead by example, maybe your fellow teammates will do the same to keep the team competitive. He isn't earning his pay anyway - a QB earns his living by throwing to the open guy, not forcing it to his buddy every play.

I appreciate his talent, but the excuses have worn thin. If he wants to be a big baby, let him whine somewhere else.

let the Packers collect a bounty of draft picks.

It was eerily reminiscent of that final playoff game against the Giants, when Favre spent the second half looking like he couldn't wait to retreat into his warm, private locker room.

Last year, I think the Packers could have named their price. After this most recent postseason debacle, not to mention all the offseason drama, not so much.

dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger

Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Nah, you see Lions OC leaving to be HC of Bears is directly related to Packers.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ohhhhhhh Zero is in TROUBLE
packerfanoutwest (21-Jan) : Zero, per your orders, check Bearshome, not packershome
