That's a great stat...

Since week 5 you say? Here is King's snap percentage by week.

Week 5: 62.7% of defensive snaps
Week 6: 0%
Week 7: 0%
Week 8: 0%
Week 9: 100%
Week 10: 32.8%

So he might have the highest grade since week 5, but he's only played about one third of the defensive snaps in that time frame...

CBs snap counts against the Seahawks
Chandon Sullivan 61,
Eric Stokes 60,
Rasul Douglas 42,
Kevin King 20,
Shemar Jean-Charles 1

So I'm not sure if King is a starter right now or not...

I wonder why Sullivan is getting more snaps than Douglas?

The snap count is significant. On the other hand, it doesn't matter to me how many snaps a guy gets as long as he is making the most of his opportunities. It's up to the coaches to put the payers on the field in schemes where they have a better chance to succeed. So this is thread should be praise for Joe Berry and Jerry Gray as well.

Alexander is injured... the Packers don't have the S depth to take Savage away from Safety... and so it's all Sullivan right now.

Also the Packers went extremely heavy in nickel and dime defense against the Seahawks (it worked). Where the Packers 3rd Safeties played a good number of dime LB snaps, and received one of the worst five grades.

But that stat out of context implies more of King than it should... but he's great in certain situations... and a backup in others.

This https://packerswire.usatoday.com/lists/packers-pff-grades-best-worst-players-from-week-10-vs-seahawks/  article suggests that Douglas had the worst game of any defender against the Seahawks.

Though one thing I seriously dislike about PFF grading is that it seems to basically starts everyone off one a certain baseline (say 65 or 70), and the more negative grades you get, the further you go down... so some players have worse grades simply because they played more often than say a backup, who's just as bad or worse.

I think it might be helpful (at least in certain situations) if their was a great per play function.

Because player A that plays 50 plays getting -1 on each play might end up with a -50.

While player B that played 20 plays getting a -2 on each play only ends up with a -40.

Where if there was the per play function you could see the averages and see Player A is starting because it's only -1 while Players B is backup because it's -2...
