But then again, I'm also ignorant on Joe Rogan.

My understanding of the Joe Rogan thing was that some studies or medical people ha e suggested Ivermectin (I think) could be helpful against COVID.

But people couldn't (or didn't try) to find the form for humans, and we're taking the much more common form which is developed for large livestock (horses/cows). But that dosage was for a horse or a Cow, weighing at least 900 lbs, not the correct dosage for an animal weighing less than 300 lbs lol mo's humans.

And so the medical people did a huge media public against Ivermectin, specifically Ivermectin that's meant for live stock since it's more common.

But they did a pretty bad job at pointing out, that they specifically meant Ivermectin for live stock dosage, where Ivermectin designed for humans and specifically prescribed by a doctor is all right.

Then Joe Rogan then did a show where he announced he got Covid, and you know what, F them, I'm taking Ivermectin and it's working for me.

Medical and media out rage that Joe Rogan is taking and suggest others take Ivermectin, even the kind for livestock.

As Joe Rogan also did a pretty bad job of explaining that he went to the doctor, got a prescription and got the human form/dosage of Ivermectin.

So bottom line, dosages designed for human size is alright for humans, dosages designed for large livestock is not alright for humans.

Also, why is anyone bashing Joe Rogan here? He has mastered the long form conversation on a wide array of interesting topics and has evolved into a great critical thinker. He is smarter and can kick the shit out of most of the population. Hat tip to Rodgers for discussing this personal decision with him.

I'll give it a go:

Probably because he's a conspiracy theorist's wet dream. A sort of living, breathing horseshoe theory diagram that caters to the lowest common dominator of the smoke-weed-every-day left and the Q-anon right. Or maybe it's the shameless and constant hawking of snake-oil "medical treatments", supplements, and various other scams he promotes for either money or attention.

Nah, more than anything it's that he's a hero for a toxic-masculinity crowd so utterly petrified that they'll have to take responsibility for their own actions and treat women, minorities, and gays with basic human dignity that they've developed a cottage industry around a fictional sense of persecution. It's a kind of irresistible black hole of self-pity for a group of dudes trying desperately to come up with an excuse, any excuse - other than their own actions of course - for why their lives suck.

In other words, he's a cartoonish mascot for a lot shitty things. A kind of laid-back, moderate version of Alex Jones that you can listen to while still being able to make eye contact with your wife. The personification of the misogynist-male's last hurrah. He's like if the fall of colonial imperialism was a dude.

Now, more specifically with the Aaron Rodgers situation, there's the generally absurd thing about getting medical advice from the host of a podcast who has no specific medical training or expertise. Kind of like asking a plumber to fill a cavity because you think he knows better than all of those dishonest dentists who are beholden to Big Toothpaste.

Those are my reasons at least. I can't speak for anyone else ragging on him, but maybe they just think he's a dickhead.

After doing your due diligence, if you want to take the vaccines, especially if you are over 65 or immunocompromised, take it. If you don't, don't.

After doing your due diligence, if you want to take Ivermectin, vitamin D, Quercetin, et al., take them. If you don't, don't.

https://c19ivermectin.com/#early  would seem to indicate it helps, with almost no downside, why wouldn't I.

If you don't want to take it, don't. But don't get in the way of what my Dr. recommends (he and his peers all have it at the ready)

I think we all need to stop telling other people how to live their lives. None of us, nor the government, should be telling people what to do with their bodies. The discussions back and forth regarding the data are great, but that the end of the day, we live in a free country (at least i thought we did) where each of us decides what to take and not take, and makes these decisions for our children.

Rodgers made his choice. I wish he had been more forthcoming about that choice at the time, but he wasn't. Oh well, he must be an awful person.

I respect his choice, and likely would have made the same choice if I was less than 40 without co-morbidities especially with a 3/1000% of 1% chance of dying IF he were to have contracted the disease. Indications are, other than press conferences where he is adequate distance away, he followed the non-vaxed protocols, so give him friggin break.

i am an old guy. The DATA at that time, the SCIENCE, showed and continues to show that the virus disproportionately effects the elderly and obese (which I am not.) Therefore, after doing my own research, I made the decision, at that time to take the JNJ, along with a high regimen of aspirin and fish oil to reduce clotting chances. If I had it over again, I would not have taken any of the current vaccines, although from what I know I would take the Novavax (protein-based) vaccine.

I now have a heart murmur. I have taken physicals every year since I was 16 for sports and insurance several stress tests (with dye) and never had a heart murmur. Now I do. Correlation is not causation, but I don't believe in coincidences.

I am not anti-vax. I have also taken the shingles vaccine, flu shot etc.. (BTW esp if you are over 50, your should really consider taking it. A friend of mine did not get that vaccine and subsequently got them on his private area and said it was the most excruciating thing ever)

The net is, there is plenty of rationale for 12 not to have taken the shot, and there is plenty of rationale for many of us to have taken the shot. So deal with it BUT

Let each person make his own choices.

Funny to hear people talk about Joe Rogan that have clearly not listened to his podcast regularly and are just spouting talking points or clips taken out of context. The most accurate answer was that he had small bit on Talk Radio. He also was the host of Fear Factor for a while. lol

Edit: My question was in fact rhetorical so no need to derail the topic any further in this direction.

A week ago most everyone believed Aaron Rodgers to be a very smart and intelligent person who is cerebral with his words. And today we're ostracizing him because he consulted with Joe Rogan. I'm guilty. But, why does consulting with Rogan lessen Rodgers instead of add validation to Rogan?

This is heavy here and it's because people would rather tear someone down, than build someone up.

Chose the you, choose wise.

At the time he said he was immunized, I believe he and the NFL were going back and forth on if that classified him as vaccinated. That's why I struggle to say he lied, but clearly misled. As for people saying he's selfish, did you not hear he said he's allergic to something in two of the vaccines and the third one was pulled for issues? I can see why someone would be hesitant on that. He also consulted numerous people. I got the impression if he knew he wouldn't be sterile from the vaccine and he wasn't allergic to an ingredient in it, he would have gotten the vaccine.

I was skeptical that people would say he's lying about being allergic. However, that part has conveniently been ignored. We already know Rodgers is some form of being lactose intolerant so it's not like he's a human being without any imperfections. And I know someone clown will say being lactose intolerant doesn't mean you're allergic to a vaccine, no shit sherlock, is my response. It's just stating that the guy has discovered some health concerns over the years.

From what I've been hearing, the people didn't listen to the whole interview, or only focused on certain highlights and are running buckshot wild with it.
