I got it! Lombardi told Ringo and his agent “You guys are at the wrong desk. You don’t work here anymore.” Or something close to that.🤪

Cobb is going on 31. And with his injury, he didn’t play that much last year.
If healthy, he could be a good help. Having him and Amari on the team, it could open up new possibilities. Rodgers likes him, and that’s a plus.
All I care about is having the Packers win another Super Bowl. If it takes having Rodgers throwing the ball to accomplish that, so be it.

I’d love to have Cobb back. If nothing else, he’s got chemistry with Rodgers. He would be a good person to have in the locker room as well. I didn’t like it when we let him go the first time.

"Welcome to the NBA."

If anything, this team should punish this douchebag, rather than anointing him.

Like it or not, Aaron Rodgers is a generational talent. A guy a team should consider bending the rules for, go out of their way to make sure is happy, etc. He's not perfect by any means and oh boy does that 1-4 NFCG record look bad. But he's one of the best QBs of all time, has won a superbowl, owns the all-time passer rating record by an absurd margin (though Mahomes should smash that if he can stay healthy/consistently perform at a high level), and has gotten the Packers to 5 NFCGs, which is more than can be said about the vast majority of QBs that have ever played the game.

If he gets his contract reworked, or has some say in trading for or bringing in a veteran in the twilight of his career... Honestly, who gives a shit? The guy has earned it. I don't even care if he makes demands to the front office and they oblige, stuff that ends up being kind of dumb like the Cobb thing very well could be if it happens. It's unlikely to make or break the season in any case.

Let's be honest for a moment here, the chances that GB's next QB will be even half as good as either Aaron Rodgers or Brett Favre are next to zilch. Going further, the chance that they'll find a guy as good as either in next 20 or 30 years is pretty low. I liked and understood the Jordan Love pick when it happened, I hope he does well, and I will root for him, but oh man, striking gold on 3 straight franchise QBs is improbable. Is it too much to ask to savor what has been exceptional QB play for a solid 30 years? Do we really have to act so petty, spiteful, and entitled? Like if the Packer's don't win the Superbowl every year, every person in the organization is incompetent or on drugs?

Ian Rapoport @RapSheet : As the #Packers work to finalize QB Aaron Rodgers’ reworked contract, the trade of old friend & current #Texans WR Randall Cobb is also waiting to be finalized (with the cap in mind). All indications are both should happen, and that the Cobb trade was a specific Rodgers request.

I'm not sure why, but Rodgers and MVS never quite got on the same page often... it was like Rodgers didn't full trust him to pull the trigger early, and then when he did, MVS would be so down the field he'd have to wait on the ball and the DB would ha e a chance to catch up.

Also, of we lose MVS, then who's going to be the deep threat? Some games MVS' pure speed would demand that a Safety helps over the top... without that speed, those teams can have more Safety help underneath.

I think MVS was also the only WR to stay healthy all year last year... though when others got fully healthy, he lost more and more snaps to everyone else. Adams and Lazard got the most, but MVS also lost some snaps to St. Brown too, though MVS still had more.

I'm torn on Cobb returning. I love the guy. He was wonderful - back in the day. He and Rodgers be mates and all.
Trouble is. He's getting old. 31 isn't a spring chicken any more. He's had multiple injuries. He plays the same position as Amari. What does he cost? In salary and trade capital.

5 WRs are locks. Adams, Lazard, MVS, Cobb and Rodgers. Are they keeping 6 or 7 WRs? Eq, Funches, Taylor and Winfree are fighting for the last spot. (I say 6. There are too many TE to got with 7 WR.) Even at his age he is better than most of the guys in the WR room but again, at what cost?

In the long run if it makes QB1 happy perhaps he will be more productive. If it's possible. Maybe more productive in the big games. If so he's worth a 6th round pick. 😉

Mucky Tundra (2h) : Or ties, but let's be real here
Mucky Tundra (2h) : Other scenario was Falcons+Rams losses
Mucky Tundra (2h) : Needed a Falcons loss for a Seahawk loss to clinch
buckeyepackfan (3h) : Am I wring in saying if Tge Vikings beat The Seahawks, The Packers clinch?
Mucky Tundra (21-Dec) : Agreed; you stinks
Zero2Cool (21-Dec) : I'm not beating anyone. I stinks.
Mucky Tundra (21-Dec) : rough injury for tank dell. guy can't catch abreak
beast (21-Dec) : So far the college playoffs have sucked... One team absolutely dominates the other
beast (21-Dec) : Well even if you weren't positive towards a guy, you wouldn't nessarily want to tell the media that (if they don't know about it)
Martha Careful (21-Dec) : I think MLF want Love to look past the end half issues, and feel good about his play. Our coaches generally keep a very positive tone.
beast (21-Dec) : I think a great running game will do that for most QBs
packerfanoutwest (21-Dec) : Coach Matt LaFleur has said quarterback Jordan Love is playing the best football of his career.
beast (21-Dec) : Oh, that's how you keep beating buckeye, with cheating
Zero2Cool (20-Dec) : There is a rule that if your name starts with 'b' you lose 15 points. Hey, I don't make the rules, I just enforce them!
wpr (20-Dec) : and then there is Beast. Running away with it all.
beast (20-Dec) : As of tonight, 3 way tie for 2nd in Pick'em, that battle is interesting!
beast (20-Dec) : Lions vs Vikings could be the main last game as it could determine division winners or #1 vs #2 seed
Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : Or if KC needs to win for the #1 seed
Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : Right now it looks like the only prime worthy games are Det-Minny and KC-Denver (if Denver can clinch a wild card spot)
Mucky Tundra (20-Dec) : The entirety of week 18 being listed as flex is weird
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : Matt LaFleur today says unequivocally "Ted Thompson had nothing to do with the drafting of Jordan Love."
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : Apparently, the editing is what pieces comments together. That Ted thing ... fake news.
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : LaFleur "opportunity that Ted Thompson thought was too good to pass up"
Zero2Cool (19-Dec) : Jordan Love pick was Ted Thompson's idea.
Mucky Tundra (19-Dec) : Kyle Shanahan on signing De'Vondre Campbell as a FA last offseason: “We obviously made a mistake.”
packerfanoutwest (19-Dec) : Alexander’s last season with GB
Martha Careful (18-Dec) : if I were a professional athlete, I would probably look to see who the agent is for Kirk Cousins and then use him
beast (18-Dec) : $100 million fully guaranteed Kirk Cousins gets benched for rookie
Mucky Tundra (18-Dec) : a lower case b
Mucky Tundra (18-Dec) : The real lie is how beast capitalized his name in his message while it's normally spelled with
packerfanoutwest (18-Dec) : haha that's a lie
beast (17-Dec) : Despite what lies other might tell, Beast didn't hate the Winter Warnings, it felt refreshing to Beast for some reason.
Zero2Cool (17-Dec) : whiteout uniforms in general are pretty lame and weak. NFL greed at it's worst
Martha Careful (17-Dec) : The Viking uniforms, the whiteout uniforms specifically absolutely suck
beast (17-Dec) : Thanks Zero2Cool, looks a lot better now
beast (17-Dec) : Seems like someone has a crush on me, can't stop talking about me
Zero2Cool (17-Dec) : Should be gooder now. The forum default theme went to goofy land.
Zero2Cool (17-Dec) : What the hell
packerfanoutwest (17-Dec) : yeah beast hates the Winter Warning Unies
Mucky Tundra (16-Dec) : Okay I'm glad to know it's not just something happening to me lol
Mucky Tundra (16-Dec) : Zero, did you copy the Packers uniforms from last night and white out the board?
beast (16-Dec) : Oh crap, is the board going to the Winter Warning Uniforms too?!? It's all white on white right now!
Zero2Cool (16-Dec) : WR Odell Beckham Jr is officially a free agent after clearing waivers.
Zero2Cool (16-Dec) : Packers are 6th in sacks.
Zero2Cool (16-Dec) : RB David Montgomery will undergo season-ending knee surgery.
Mucky Tundra (16-Dec) : Dan Campbell on onside kick with 12 minutes left: In hindsight, wish I didn’t do that
Zero2Cool (16-Dec) : They have that whole 12th man thing so ...
Zero2Cool (16-Dec) : Of the times we've played there, I just can't recall hearing our fans.
wpr (16-Dec) : Well done jdlax. Well done.
wpr (16-Dec) : I think more likely to be Pack fans that live in the area.
