Aaron Rodgers: I'm not a victim. I've been paid a ton of money by this organization. I don't feel like anything's been done to me. It's a business. It's a tough business too, though. This is part of it.

"I didn't wanna get into a pissing match with a team that's employed me for 16 years... I know there were some leaks... I promise none of them were from me."

Incredible damn press conference. He did not hold back and was still very respectful. If you want to dislike Rodgers based on the media "reports", you should skip this because you'll have to realize you got manipulated by headlines and catchy bullshit.

And for those who think Rodgers hired LaFleur, that might not be the case.

We, the fans, were played by the media? Wow. I don't believe it. Why would any of the wonderful folks that write these stories want to do such a thing? 😉

LISTEN TO WHAT AARON RODGERS WAS SAYING! The press conference was great, but it just went into more detail on what he's said.

I really freaking hate the media. Aaron is a good dude and this is going to have turned people against him. So frustrating. But hey, some will say HE'S PAID MILLIONS HE CAN HANDLE IT, bullshit. He's human.

I need to stop. I'm going to break my keyboard.

Here's a quote that is going to get twisted the shit out of.

As far as letting veterans go.....one point that may be lost.....Rodgers gets paid so much of the cap, could it be that the Packers has to let guys go because they couldn’t afford to keep many of those guys? I’m sure that most of the cuts were difficult decisions.
You can’t keep everyone.
Especially when 20% of your cap space goes to one guy.
And as the old saying goes, it’s better to let a guy go one year early then one year too late.

Oh, and it’s not that I hate Rodgers. I’m glad he’s playing here this year. I’m just pointing out that there’s more to decision making then just wants. Tough decisions have to be made. You can’t keep everyone just because you want to.

Aaron knew he had no leverage. So he got his suck ups in the media to media bomb the team all off season. This is his way of bargaining from a position of strength.

So he goes in there and makes outrageous demands, like this thing with Cobb. It's like buying a car. The seller starts high, the buyer starts low.

Only Murphy is now so afraid of Rodgers that he just starts making phone calls to trade for Cobb. No negotiating downward, just takes Aaron's orders and fulfills them.
