Apparently some teams are calling the Atlanta Falcons for WR Julio Jones. If you're a Packers fan (why else would you be here), this is absolutely a no. If the Falcons are going to let Julio go for a third or fourth round pick and Julio will redo his contract -- maybe. Otherwise, hell no.

The salary cap space needs to be spent on the OL and DL and re-signing WR Davante Adams (and probably Marques Valdes-Scantling) beyond 2021.

This isn't saying Julio Jones isn't worth the salary or the draft capital. He probably is -- just not for the Green Bay Packers.

So, when you hear about this and Packers fans saying the Packers should trade for him. Slap them in the face, smile and let them know the Packers have bigger needs.

That and I believe Julio has struggled to stay healthy and on the field...

Plus I'm sure this agent has seen all these lesser WRs get larger contracts and he secretly wants more, and trades to a new team is the perfect time to ask or play games.

Plus, why they're not sure they ngs, the draft is pretty darn deep at WR, might take a year or two to develop, but there will probably be a good one in the 3rd round still, you just need to figure out which one is a good one.

Plus, Packers seriously need to upgrade their CBs, that takes highest priority. Then WRs/OL followed by DL.

He's a player on the decline. 2016 was his high water mark. 2018 was a bounce back year but not as good as 2016. In the other years for the most part, he produced less and less. What makes us think he will get another bounce back and then stay at that level? Especially if he costs $23 mil this year.

Desperate teams tend to pay for what a guy was, not what he is now.
And as was already said, he’s not what he once was.
And we have many more needs if we want to win another super bowl,
To pay too much for an over the hill guy is NOT what we need right now.
(I was going to say we should sign him, just to see if Zero would slap me!😂😉)

To play devil's advocate, was this not something people were saying about Charles Woodson? That turned out pretty well.

And the Packers have much more important needs to fill right now.
If he would be willing to come in on a one year low cost deal, I’d say go for it.

beast (5h) : You have a point, it's a very wise move, therefore, that can't be what the Jets are doing.
Zero2Cool (8h) : It'd be a wise move.
beast (19h) : I think Jets are just killing time, and picking up information as they wait for their guy to get done with the playoffs.

beast (15-Jan) : Cover 2, keep a CB and Safety over top of both WRs... and Hurts (like Rodgers) is overly careful and doesn't like any risk in his throws.
joepacker (15-Jan) : new to this maybe question n wrong place?
joepacker (15-Jan) : how did the packers mostly shut down the eagles passin attack and specifically how did they manage such a good job on aj brown?

Zero2Cool (15-Jan) : Jordan isn't a vocal guy. Why not let him lead his way?
Zero2Cool (15-Jan) : I'm not sure it ever bodes well when you have to tell your team leader to be more vocal.

Martha Careful (14-Jan) : Why is it that the Rams rookies can contribute right away but our first and second year guys are too young to contribute in a meaningful way
Martha Careful (14-Jan) : Yes, Saquon Barkley had a very nice game. But he has a much better offensive line in front of him. I'll take Josh Jacob's. I love the guy
