Murphy had people approve their moves with him so that the decisions wouldn't make the GM or coach look bad. If something went haywire, he was the one who would take all the shit.
To me, that was the right thing to do. I also think Murphy told Gutey to fill out the defensive needs a couple offseasons ago, when he signed the Smiths and Amos. That worked well too.
The big potential problem was Aaron Rodgers, but he seems to have "bought in" to Matt's program.
If Ball wants to leave the organization, he is welcome to do so. Seems like he was the source for this?
The ST coach thing was a little weird. Manenga probably needs to be replaced, but this isn't something to tear the organization apart.
If there's some shit going down, maybe Silverstein can just say what it is? Is Murphy going power mad? Seems like a lot of the previous issues are working out.
