If he and agent were willing to sign for $11.25 million per season on a long term contract, I would of expected him to be signed already...

Of course, he did fire his agent and hire a new one... which are restarting the contract talks with the Packers.

But the cheapest full time starting RB deal this year so far was Joe Mixon for $12 million per season.

Jones is going to be recycled into a 3rd/ 4th round draft pick.

Once one media "expert" makes a call other outlets jump on board as we have seen here.

That’s what I hate about today’s NFL. You develop players, and if they turn out to be really good, you can’t keep them.
If they are at best average, THOSE are the ones you can afford to keep.
That sucks.

Sorry to go against the grain here, but RBs are dispensable. We won the Super Bowl with Ben Wilson and Donny Anderson.

I can see a very bright future with Dillon, Williams, and a pick up or draft picks. After all, where did we draft Jones and Williams?

Also, there are a lot of experienced RB's who would love to have a crack at a Super Bowl in GB. I am not willing to pay a guy that much money for a relatively small incremental difference and short shelf life.

There is not an infinite supply of cap dollars I would much rather spend the discretionary dollars on a stud right tackle and IDLman.

Aaron Jones has very unique field vision. He can run stright into a pile and come out the other side untouched.

But we can't overpay. McCaffrey is pretty good too, but he missed 11 games this year, so far. I love AJ to death, but we just can't do it.

It would be one thing if we weren't already against the cap. But we are. RBs have a shelf life and Aaron has an injury history. Plus he's undersized.

Maybe on a hometown discount.

I think we will lose a few guys that will hurt, I think Jones will be gone along with Lazard. Also if the cap space drops then who else do we lose?
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)
