Tonyan was dealing with injuries the last two years... but honestly this stas depressed me...
Rodgers/Nelson had one of the best connections I've ever seen... especially in the red zone, just get Nelson one on one... he'd just zig zag back and forth until the CBs picked a side, didn't matter which side... Nelson would pick the other side, and Rodgers would throw it to him... Touch Down... Gute gave that up for Graham...
Now only that, Gute then purposely low balled Nelson (Gute later said it was Adams time to be #1 WR, and Gute seemed to believe Nelson being around might hurt that, probably because the Rodgers/Nelson connection)... but then Nelson already having more money than he'll ever spend wanted to sign it (James Jones called him crazy), but then Gute sat down and nicely pushed him away... when we could of resigned him, and released Cobb to save money...
This was a lose-lose all around... well until you realize Mike McCarthy partly lost his job, because they couldn't convert red zone trips into TDs because we lost the Rodgers to Nelson... and so therefore, so the Packers head coach job became open, in part to releasing Nelson. So we sorta got LaFleur (at least the year we did) because we lost Nelson... but still losing Nelson in that way still really sucks to me...
Watching Rodgers to Graham in the red zone, really hurt too... especially when that could had been Nelson...
