MLF has schemed receivers open in every game. McCarthy talked about it but it never seemed to materialize on a consistent basis. Last night's game just might have been Matt's best game as a coach (so far).

It will be interesting to see how much recognition he receives for his work as the year goes on. There will have to be a tipping point at some point in time. It just might take until the Nov 22 game against Indy.

The guy is 5-0 without our best receiver in the lineup.

Yes this scheme is amazing, and other than Matt Ryan's two years, hasn't ever had a good QB to go with it...

Though, you could argue Kubiak's very similar and same family of the scheme has had Elway, Falcco and a beaten up Peyton Manning

Gotta give him credit for waiting for the clock to wind down before throwing the challenge flag late in the 4th. Burned a ton of time off the clock and put the Saints in a tight spot.

Yeah it's too bad we have that over controlling Rodgers who can't let go and fights the coach and has a chip on his shoulder and won't let the head coach be the head coach, because he's too much of a power control freak!

Remember that? 😋

While overturning the call does give the Saints a little more time, either way they won't get to use the 2 minute warning to stop the clock after a offensive play. Running the clock down that much also prevents the chance the Saints from challenging a play on the field (wonder if there's a rule on that where the play starts before the warning?). Last, I think it was part challenge, part timeout to make sure everything was lined up right, got the right play, what D did they show etc.
