Does anyone think we will see cancellation of games or protests as this man was denied the right to life after he exercised his right of free speech/expression?

Everybody knows that only liberals are allowed to protest!

But seriously, I see the very strong possibility of another civil war coming.
How much of this crap are good people going to put up with before they start fighting back?
And a liberal on this site called me a hiding rat for not putting out a sign saying I support President Trump. Do you see why now? Do you think I want my loved ones threatened or my home burned down?

I really wish people would stop applying names like "liberal" to others. It's such a condemning narrow sighted view of someone. But, that's kind of the world we live in. It's easier to apply a label than have a conversation, a discussion to learn more.

I won't lie, I also said to myself, "sure hope no misguided prick inflicts harm to these folks". It's truly a shame how easily people are enraged over things they know little or nothing about. I've been watching a lot of biographies on former Presidents and it seems most of them all have one thing in common. They were loudly hated while in office, but once they were replaced people saw the good things they've done. In five years when Trump is no longer in office, I am curious to read what is said about his Presidency in the many years after.

Well Kevin, what am I supposed to call them? Extreme leftists?
If you look at what the person says, what they follow, most likely they fit into the group listed.
I’m a conservative. And not ashamed to admit it.
How many riots are started by conservatives? How many looters are conservatives? None. It’s a certain group that does those kinds of things.
Calling it what it is, how is that wrong?
People are called “pro life” while abortionists are called “pro choice”. It’s not “pro choice” it’s “pro baby killing”. Call things what they are.

You know what I have been called, and by who.

Ignoring the truth doesn’t make it not true.
And I support the President. If it was just me, I’d wear a MAGA hat and have yard signs. But I don’t want to put my wife in danger.

As for whomever is going around calling you (or anyone) a "hiding rat" is simply showing they do not know how to express themselves in a mature way. And quite frankly, the name calling doesn't merit worth remember or mentioning again.

Ok....I won’t call him or others that talk that way liberals anymore.

As far as my bringing up what I was called, if others had not seen that post, how would they understand the context? The person was trying to call me out for not putting out Trump signs on my lawn. But trying to call me a coward because of it is in no way acceptable in my opinion.

Of course I’ve been called even worse by “someone” on this site.
And you are right. Some people can’t think maturely and thus cant respond maturely.

On a different note, I think it's horrible for anyone to feel scared to do something that harms no one -- such as displaying support for a Presidential candidate. Coincidentally, last night part of a dream I had was my neighbor across the street was going around placing Trump signs in peoples lawn. They are an elderly couple and the husband is a former Marine. In my dream, I left the sign up.

I guess I didn’t make myself clear.
I brought up what the ....guy..... called me to put into context the name he called me.
It wasn’t the “liberal” name that I meant about “in context”. You said I didn’t need to bring up the name I was called. That’s why I brought it up, for the context.
Seriously, if the name liberal bothers you, I don’t have to use it.
It’s not that big of a deal for me.

I think this is a sore spot for me because I really enjoy the deep conversation that helps shed light on the "WHY" someone thinks the way they do. Take the Kenosha thread. I say it's wrong to shoot someone in the back multiple times. I get labeled. I say Blake put himself, his kids and everyone else in a no-win situation. I get labeled. When in reality, I'm just trying to understand the totality of the situation. No one wants to hear people out. They look for something that provides them a label. So they can discern that persons beliefs based off a label.

Anyhow, off my soap box, sorry!

This is true. My girlfriend claims to have noticed one or two Biden signs downtown. I don't go downtown so that could be why I haven't noticed any. I see lots of Trump signs and a few layouts I would call a shrine. I mean big ass signs, flags, etc.

I would LOVE to get to know those that seem to hate me. Truth is, if they actually took the time to get to know me, maybe they wouldn’t hate me so much.
I say what I believe and why, but all I get in return is called awful names. They don’t say why they don’t agree with me, they just blast me.
So how can you truly get to know someone, when they just blast you?
Kind of hard to do.
