Packers guard Lane Taylor is making a strong case to start in Week 1. Starting jobs on the right side of the offensive line are open this summer, but Green Bay Packers guard Lane Taylor is making a strong case for why he should be one of the starters. After missing most of the 2019

When Wagner was healthy, I believe Turner was in the starting lineup everyday, making the three player battle for two spots, seems like a two player (Taylor/Wagner) battle for the last spot and Turner taking the other. So the coaching staff seem to like Turner.

But as a few articles have pointed out, in pervious years Lane Taylor has seemed to have graded out better than Billy Turner past year, and Turner struggled in pass blocking at RG, that isn't expected to get better by moving to RT (though he'll have some chip block help, but generally going against even more athletic pass rushers).

So it's nice to hear Taylor is stepping it up, and making it a good competition and hopefully improving the OL. Seems like we should be alright at RG, but still questionable at RT.

So if Turner moves from RG to RT, his relative weakness in pass blocking could be more of an issue.

I hope this signifies depth vs. a lot of mediocrity.

I bet that practicing against the Smiths is extremely helpful for our tackles

Right now at OT we got Bak, Wagner, Turner, Light and a whole bunch of wishful potential that usually doesn't develop... (though Yosh Nijman has high potential that MIGHT (probably not) develop in 2 to 4 years but he got injured last year and still now medical cleared from it yet)

Bak is Bak, great in pass protection, I'll be interested in seeing if he's improved his run blocking now that he's finally in a second season of a scheme that emphasizes it equally to pass blocking.

Wagner can be pretty good if he stays healthy, he hasn't stayed healthy the last two years and got injured in camp, left arm, no rumors on where he might be back.

Turner struggled with pass blocking at RG, which might only get worse if he plays at RT, though some think he'll be much better run blocking edge rushers than DT and you can try to help him with TE/RB/FB chip blocking as Bak probably won't need it.

Light, last year, struggled very badly against NFL power, he's athletic enough to get in the way of the defender, but was weak enough that the defender then put him in the way of the offense player with the ball. On the bright side, in theory you should be able to improve that power, though it took Bak a little while too, and so far there are no rumors that Light has actually done this.

bboystyle (12-May) : The Green Bay Packers on Monday signed Taylor Elgersma, the Canadian-born quarterback who tried out at the team’s rookie camp last weekend
beast (12-May) : There were reports four days ago that the Packers were signing QB Taylor Elgersma, but no official action since
Zero2Cool (12-May) : And for Ian Rapoport to announce Saints send 1st and 2nd rounder to Packers for Malik Willis.
dfosterf (12-May) : *Elgersma*
dfosterf (12-May) : Today would be a good day to discover the Pack signed Taylor Engersma, the Canadian QB
Zero2Cool (11-May) : It wasn't. He simply wanted his money back. They refused. Cops came. They gave him his money in end.

Mucky Tundra (8-May) : According to reports, Mel Kiper is furious that Sanders wasn't selected as the new Pope
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Time taken to get picked:
Zero2Cool (8-May) : New Pope: 2 days | Shedeur Sanders: 3 days
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Collin Whitchurch @cowhitchurch · 1h Chicago got a pope before it got a QB to throw for 4,000 yards in a season.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : New Pope from Chicago; in other words, the city produced a Pope before a 4000 yard passer

Zero2Cool (7-May) : beast, you're just one R from being voluptuous.
Zero2Cool (7-May) : And now some Packers blogger is like Doubs to Steelers makes sense!!!!
Zero2Cool (7-May) : You saw me Tweet???
beast (7-May) : Supposedly Steelers will be trading WR George Pickens to the Cowboys for a 3rd and late round pick swap
Zero2Cool (5-May) : Ravens release Justin Tucker, err D. Watson Jr?
Zero2Cool (5-May) : Cardinals have signed TE Josiah Deguara.
Zero2Cool (5-May) : If I were to "Google" it, then I wouldn't read it in your words.
Martha Careful (5-May) : Yes, in the military S2’s work on IPB, PERCEC, PHYSEC and IO
dfosterf (4-May) : FYI civilian companies swipe the S2 designation from the military. S2 is the intelligence branch up to brigade level. G2 is division level.
dfosterf (4-May) : Google it. Make sure to tack NFL on it or you will get the military meaning
Zero2Cool (4-May) : S2?
beast (4-May) : Seems like the S2 has a love/hate relationship with professional scouts.
beast (4-May) : In theory, the S2 test how quickly a QBs brain can solve game like issues and how quickly they can do it.
dfosterf (4-May) : Are you gentlemen and at least one lady familiar with the S2 cognition
Zero2Cool (4-May) : Maybe there isn't an issue.
beast (4-May) : NFL really needs to fix their position labeling issue, but I don't think they care
Zero2Cool (1-May) : Packers did not activate the fifth-year options for linebacker Quay Walker, with the goal of signing him to a contract extension.
