Packers guard Lane Taylor is making a strong case to start in Week 1. Starting jobs on the right side of the offensive line are open this summer, but Green Bay Packers guard Lane Taylor is making a strong case for why he should be one of the starters. After missing most of the 2019

When Wagner was healthy, I believe Turner was in the starting lineup everyday, making the three player battle for two spots, seems like a two player (Taylor/Wagner) battle for the last spot and Turner taking the other. So the coaching staff seem to like Turner.

But as a few articles have pointed out, in pervious years Lane Taylor has seemed to have graded out better than Billy Turner past year, and Turner struggled in pass blocking at RG, that isn't expected to get better by moving to RT (though he'll have some chip block help, but generally going against even more athletic pass rushers).

So it's nice to hear Taylor is stepping it up, and making it a good competition and hopefully improving the OL. Seems like we should be alright at RG, but still questionable at RT.

So if Turner moves from RG to RT, his relative weakness in pass blocking could be more of an issue.

I hope this signifies depth vs. a lot of mediocrity.

I bet that practicing against the Smiths is extremely helpful for our tackles

Right now at OT we got Bak, Wagner, Turner, Light and a whole bunch of wishful potential that usually doesn't develop... (though Yosh Nijman has high potential that MIGHT (probably not) develop in 2 to 4 years but he got injured last year and still now medical cleared from it yet)

Bak is Bak, great in pass protection, I'll be interested in seeing if he's improved his run blocking now that he's finally in a second season of a scheme that emphasizes it equally to pass blocking.

Wagner can be pretty good if he stays healthy, he hasn't stayed healthy the last two years and got injured in camp, left arm, no rumors on where he might be back.

Turner struggled with pass blocking at RG, which might only get worse if he plays at RT, though some think he'll be much better run blocking edge rushers than DT and you can try to help him with TE/RB/FB chip blocking as Bak probably won't need it.

Light, last year, struggled very badly against NFL power, he's athletic enough to get in the way of the defender, but was weak enough that the defender then put him in the way of the offense player with the ball. On the bright side, in theory you should be able to improve that power, though it took Bak a little while too, and so far there are no rumors that Light has actually done this.

Martha Careful (1h) : Why is it that the Rams rookies can contribute right away but our first and second year guys are too young to contribute in a meaningful way
Martha Careful (1h) : Yes, Saquon Barkley had a very nice game. But he has a much better offensive line in front of him. I'll take Josh Jacob's. I love the guy
buckeyepackfan (5h) : Rumor has Mike going to The Bears.
Zero2Cool (10h) : Mike McCarthy is out as Cowboys coach
Mucky Tundra (23h) : DOINKED IN FOR THE WIN!!!!!
Mucky Tundra (23h) : Cardiac Commanders
TheKanataThrilla (13-Jan) : Don't like that call Washtington on 4th down
TheKanataThrilla (12-Jan) : The Bills really need to improve their D. The have the ability to score at will, but if they stumble this D will not save them.
Zero2Cool (12-Jan) : LET'S GO
Mucky Tundra (12-Jan) : Blocked PAT returned for 2; not something you see often
Mucky Tundra (12-Jan) : After a strong start, Herbert playing like ass
Mucky Tundra (11-Jan) : Oh god, that means the Clifford stans will come back out of the woodwork
Zero2Cool (11-Jan) : Fills the openin they had
buckeyepackfan (11-Jan) : Sean Clifford signed to 53 man roster.
Martha Careful (11-Jan) : Two terrific NCAA Football Semi-Final Games...We can only hope the Championship game is as good
Zero2Cool (10-Jan) : Eagles WR DeVonta Smith will be a DNP in today’s practice. He’s dealing with back tightness. But the expectation is that he’ll play Sunday.
Zero2Cool (10-Jan) : Jalen Hurts has cleared the concussion protocol. He’s playing Sunday.
Zero2Cool (10-Jan) : 𝕏avier McKinney First Team All-Pro
Zero2Cool (10-Jan) : NFL moves Vikings-Rams playoff tilt to Arizona due to fires
Zero2Cool (10-Jan) : Rams lose home field advantage for Monday game.
Mucky Tundra (9-Jan) : Notre Lame=Notre Dame, Luckeyes=Ohio State, Pedo St=Penn St
Zero2Cool (9-Jan) : ... It clearly was not what we were supposed to be in, certainly."
Zero2Cool (9-Jan) : Hafley says 3rd and 11 call there was a miscommunication.
Zero2Cool (9-Jan) : The only team I know is Texas from that. Who are the other three?
Mucky Tundra (9-Jan) : Notre Lame vs Pedo St tonight and the Luckeyes vs Texas tomorrow
Mucky Tundra (9-Jan) : Stud
Zero2Cool (9-Jan) : E. Cooper. Rookie of Month. Defense.
Mucky Tundra (8-Jan) : @AaronNagler · 2m Both Jordan Love and Malik Willis were Limited participants at Packers practice today.
Zero2Cool (8-Jan) : Johnson didn't make it until 2020. Ring 2023. 🤷 Personally, he should have been in years prior to Hall.
Zero2Cool (8-Jan) : HUMP DAY
beast (8-Jan) : Guys that have a good shot at making the NFL Hall of Fame usually get into their teams pretty fast
beast (8-Jan) : Yeah, but is Kampman and the others in the NFL Hall of Fame?
Zero2Cool (8-Jan) : Johnson was Hall of Fame, 2020. Should haev been in Ring a year later, not three years.
Zero2Cool (8-Jan) : I could be wrong there though
Zero2Cool (8-Jan) : Guys like Kampman, Tim Harris, Al Harris, etc all over 15 years. Hall of Fame is 5 year wait
Zero2Cool (8-Jan) : I guess I see players in Packers Hall come way later
beast (8-Jan) : Yeah, usually teams hall of fames are a much lower bar than the NFL
Zero2Cool (8-Jan) : is it uncommon for Hall before Ring?
Zero2Cool (8-Jan) : S Xavier McKinney named first-team All-Pro by NFLPA
beast (8-Jan) : I missed it, sorry, but he got into the NFL Hall of Fame years before that
Zero2Cool (8-Jan) : Jones took his sweet ole time!
Zero2Cool (8-Jan) : Yeah, he's in the ring of honor, just saw video and his name is up there
Zero2Cool (8-Jan) : Didn't they have a thing in 2023 for Jimmy's ring of honor? I swear I saw it
beast (8-Jan) : Though if they're legitimately trying to re-sign MM, then it makes sense.
beast (8-Jan) : Jerry Jones still hasn't put Jimmy Johnson in the Ring of Honor, but he's in the NFL's Hall of Fame, Jones is petty
Mucky Tundra (8-Jan) : Unless the Cowboys are planning an extension, seems kinda petty
beast (8-Jan) : Cowboys denied Bears request
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : From what I'm reading, MM is under contract through the 14th of January; after that he's free game
Zero2Cool (6-Jan) : McCarthy let go or not extended??
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Chicago Bears have asked the Dallas Cowboys permission to interview Mike McCarthy for head coaching vacancy
