So the football world agrees, they should have simply went by "Washington" until they got their new nickname officially trademarked.

Or Washington Snyder's, until the new nickname was approved.

This is why I've thought it's going to be Washington Warriors, as Synder is so lacking in original thoughts.

This is now going to be a killer if the new nickname isn't cool and they struggle. Now I'm hoping for Washington Redwolves.

Most of the same group that bitched that Redskins was offensive and shouldn't be a football team are now the same ones lining up to crack jokes that the organization didn't rush into a new name 90 some days before the season started. They seem to think that is some easy task or can be done over night.

We really have a bunch of whiny bitches in this world.

And for whomever is coming up with a new nickname AND color scheme AND uniforms AND logo ... I feel for ya because NOTHING you do is gonna be accepted.

Personally, I'd leave it the Washington Football Team. It wouldn't be the worst thing, I mean, there is a team named after a freaking color.

The response is overwhelming.

Only way Washington can come out on top of this is if they let a cancer kid come up with the nickname and colors. Even then people are gonna still cry, whine and bemoan "should have been done decades ago" rather than just appreciate and understand ... it has changed.

I can fully understand why Washington delayed for decades changing their Name/Logo. Even with some minimal protesters, sports teams( especially NFL teams), have too much at stake to change unless retaining the Name/Logo becomes a business liability. Now the future team sales are at stake and Trademark/Copyright concerns are preventing Washington from announcing a new Name/Logo.
Some speculator copyrighted the best names that Washington must deal with before they can proceed. What they have done is to buy time to secure full rights before announcing a change. Were i the person holding on to those copyright claims, i'd be afraid for my life. He is messing with very powerful people.

But yeah, they could potentially do something extreme creative and cool, but considering we're talking about Snyder, I wouldn't hold my breath, as he doesn't seem to have a creative bone.

Also are you talking about the Browns, named after Paul Brown the original owner, and person whom Bill Belichick calls the greatest coach ever.

First, yeah that's a bad name and I think should be changed because it's lame and to hopefully get rid of their recent suckage (not that a name change would help). Cleveland Dogs (welcome to the dog pound).

But it depends on how creative with the name. I could be wrong, but I think mainly just the name and logo are changing. Which I think Synder will go with Warriors. But the colors and uniforms might stay. Maybe.

Almost all of the people purposely got in the way of the Redskins, you're the only person that I know that might be getting out of the way of a big pay day.

And should they suffer a fatal accident, they will still have to pay his family survivors as rights to the trademark will go to their family, which their family might then have lawsuits over a will or lack there of and making it more complex, than simply buying it outright.

Wow ......we’ve gone from the Redskins changing their name, to trying to find Jimmy Hoffa!😂
........I know where Hoffa’s body is.......it’s in the Minnesota Vikings Super Bowl trophy case!!!!
The guys that killed him knew they would never find the body, as there is no reason for anyone to ever look in there!!!😁

Separately stated from the quoted message and said in general ...

I suppose not being involved in all name changing discussions means we should just assume and spread vile disparaging comments. That's how one shows they be cool!

Why is it culture to dias Dan Snyder? People always so quick to slander someone.

As they should have went from "Washington Redskins" to "Washington Football Team" in one solid move.

Instead of simply getting rid of the name, which built very good intrigued, only to have the good intrigue burst with a complete lame disappoint.

Also, you could be lumping more than one group together, as one, as I haven't heard the Indians groups make fun of it, or the main people that said the name was racist make fun of it. It's mainly the popular kids that made fun of it, which while they said Redskins was racist, I'm not sure they lifted a hand to help.

Mucky Tundra (3h) : Rude!

Zero2Cool (7h) : Raiders hired someone from the elderly home.
dfosterf (10h) : I'm going with a combination of the two.
beast (11h) : Either the Cowboys have no idea what they're doing, or they're targeting their former OC, currently the Eagles OC
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Fake news. Cowboys say no
Zero2Cool (23-Jan) : Mystery candidate in the Cowboys head coaching search believed to be Packers ST Coordinator Rich Bisaccia.
beast (23-Jan) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you
wpr (22-Jan) : Z, glad you are feeling better.
wpr (22-Jan) : My son and D-I-L work for UM. It's a way to pick on them.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.

dfosterf (22-Jan) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
