Who had more talent?

The 4-12 team...

The 6-10 team...

So in 2 years that 4-12 team got to NFCCG, but the 6-10 team doesnt have the talent to get back?

Not even close. 2008.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

The 6-10 by far. The only things or things the 4-12 team wins on is the D-line with a healthy KGB, Kampman and Jenkins and the RBs, had we not had a Broncos-like situation. I love Green, Davenport was a great back-up imo and Samkon Gado was one hell of a surprise.

Well, if we did a position by position analysis, our O was really, really good in '05. It was just decimated by injuries.

Walker was our #1 WR. He went down in game 1. Fergie was our #3. Yeah, I'd take James Jones over Fergie in a heartbeat. Chatman was our #4 and I'd take Jordy over Chatman in a heartbeat. But let's not forget, Walker was a top tier WR at the time. He was no slouch. It's just we had no depth.

Our OL was actually better in '05 then it is today. Our OL back then was solid, and one thing I'd have to give credit to Sherman for is he built on heck of an OL.

RBs - To be fair, '05 was really better - Green as our starter was still a productive RB. But he went down right away. Then we had Najeh who I liked a lot but he went down. Then Fisher was our main dude and he went down. Then Gado was looking really good and he went down. In '08, how much depth did we have at RB if Grant went down and Jackson went down?

As for the D, didn't we allow more points in '08 then in '05?

Now as far as depth, I'd take the '08 team easily.

2 things Z:

The 05 offensive line was a shell of it's former self. Check Marco and Flanagan's cartilege for proof.

The 05 defense wasn't decimated by injuries, they were decimated by a lack of astute attention in the prior drafts.

I'm thinking, Battle Royale.

let's make this happen!

oh, and 2008, top to bottom. 2005 probably had more top level starters but no depth. This is football, and injuries are inevitable so depth is a necessity.

Zero2Cool (27-Jul) : There's a toggle for light/dark theme. Super easy.
dfosterf (27-Jul) : The white background beta was hard to read, especially the quotes
dfosterf (27-Jul) : Hopefully the color scheme remains the same

dfosterf (27-Jul) : The 40th is Titletown Tech itself. This is a pet project of both Ed Policy and Mark Murphy
