Packers agree to re-sign DB Will Redmond

The Green Bay Packers are bringing back one of their best special teams players from the 2019 season.
According to Josina Anderson of ESPN, the Packers have agreed to terms with free agent defensive back Will Redmond.
Once a third-round pick of the San Francisco 49ers as a cornerback, Redmond moved to safety in 2019 and played in 13 games for the Packers, tallying 36 tackles, one pass break up and one tackle for loss.
Redmond did his best work on special teams, producing a team-high nine special teams tackles. He was especially effective as a gunner covering punts.
The 26-year-old played 271 snaps on defense but struggled at times in man-to-man coverage. He’ll provide defensive coordinator Mike Pettine with depth in the secondary.
