I think it began with the level of talent. They’ve dropped/fumbled so many balls that it seems as if he has no trust in them anymore. Which may be causing him to think about it a little too much when throwing to them. And it’s hard to blame him if my theory is correct, because the receivers haven’t been impressive at all. I cringe whenever they actually do catch it and begin running, because I’ve seen time and time again this year where the ball gets fumbled after a catch, which absolutely kills momentum.

I swear, this is starting to remind me more and more of the end of the Favre era with every passing week. How vividly I remember that as Favre increasingly became a liability to the team, there was a contingent of fans who became increasingly shrill and strident in their insistence on blaming everyone but Favre for the team's problems—to the point that some of them (not to name names cough4PackGirlcough) effectively swore off the team after they finally moved on from Favre. It was embarrassing.

That is hardly a momentum killer when looking at a 16 game season. There are 11 series each game? That mean only 6 possession out of 176 had any impact because of a fumble and only 3 of them were a turnover.

Green Bay had 9 fumbles lost in total. That's QB, RB, WR and ST combined. That's 15th in the league. They are average. I am not going to go into every team's stat page to see how many teams WR corps have less but I can assume GB is "above average" in that department.

I knew somebody would dig into the stats. And that’s not my point. I don’t care what everyone else has done. I just know there has been enough fumbles to make me worry about it every time certain players get the ball. Allison just doesn’t seem to hold on to the ball well. Even when he doesn’t fumble, it’s just scary looking to me for some reason. Almost uncoordinated.
