So your saying you think Cutlers numbers wont go down because Chicago's WRS are just as good as Denver's and it was just Orton who made the WRS look bad? Didn't they have to have one of their DB's line up as a WR for a few games or was it the other way around idk? Oops never mind the Bears have all kinds of talent Marty Booker looked great last year. If Hester can't really handle a hard throw by Orton how do you think he's going to do with Cutler?

Do you just make stuff up as you go along? I said "maybe" the bears receivers can be more productive now with a better QB, how did you get Chicago's receivers are as goood as Denver's out of that statement? Orton's longest pass was I believe around 20 yards last season and I read somewhere that he didn't have a pass over 30 yards all season so yeah, QB "might" have something to do with the inept offensive output by the Bears receivers. Why are you coming off all hostile? I'm just trying to look at the Bears offensive problems from more than the old "Their WR suck" point of view so sorry if you don't agree with me. I don't mean to offend anyones opinion on here and I never said the bears WRs were great I just said maybe they weren't that great because of poor QB play. Again, I said "maybe". Did Hester really have any problem with any of Orton's throws that were catchable and not underthrown or overthrown maybe you saw something i didn't?

I think most people on this is site said Favre was a little bit of a baby but he earned the right to be one. Cutler is nothing compared to Favre buddy.

Cutler has ony started a bit over two seasons so I don't think anyone is comparing him to Brett(Hofer) in that sense. I noticed you said "most" people on this site said Favre earned the right to be a baby I hope at least you weren't one of them as that is some really flawed logic.

Just for fun though:

(first 3 seasons in the NFL)

Favre- 33 games, 6531 yds, 37 tds, 39 int

Cutler- 37 games, 9024 yds, 54 tds, 37 int

He may not be Favre-like to you now but it looks like he's well on his way.

Did it ever occur to you that maybe the Bears Receivers can be more productive now with some actualstability, talent and upside at the QB level(something they haven't had since the McMahon years). I think their problems on the receiving can easily be attributed to poor QB play. I do like objective football discussion though and this board has some of the best posters I've seen online(yes you included Cheese man). By the way, hows your health lately and I was also wondering what WII games you got.

I don't doubt that the Chicago WR's can be made to look better by the addition of Cutler, i would expect that. But they still don't have and WR's that our D backs can't cover. Will Cutler make them better? I would guess yes. But at the same time their D is getting older and not NEARLY as powerful as it was just a couple years ago when they rode their D to the SB loss.
Now......if they signed a good WR, i might worry. But until then, i'm not overly scared. Cutler was decent in Denver, but not fantastic. Better then Orton or Grossman, yes, but not anything that great.
My health.......I'm doing ok. Still alot of pain in the chest, but i suspect it will be that way for a long time. But i'm walking well, able to walk at 3.5 miles per hour at PT on the treadmill for 20 minutes, so it's getting there.
Doctors are very happy with my progress. And i lost quite a bit of weight so far, which is good. I was pushing 230 when i went into the hospital, yesterday at PT 207.
I have the Wii sports, which Zero brought with when he set the game up for me, and a friend got me Madden 09. Those are the 2 i have so far. I've been having a blast with the game! Gives me something to do when the wife is at work, and gives me a little workout. Better then just sitting and watching TV!

Thank you Orygun!
Yeah......i have to admit.....this is the lowest i have weighed in....well.....at least 20 years. I'm HOPING to get to under 200 pounds. That would be great. It makes it better for my blood pressure AND diabetes.
Some days it's just so hard to MAKE myself go out and walk. It's been too cold for me to walk outside. The cooler air makes it hard to breathe. But soon, it will be nice, and i can get some outside walking in. Thats lots more fun then just walking around Shopko, which is what i did tonight.
Thank you again for asking!
Oh....i don't have the Wii fit yet.........that may be something down the line i can get to help me stay fit.

Warning: all Wii Fit is:

A Yoga/Strengthening Instructor
A Scale
A Mini-game collection

Most weight lost is due to eating, cardiovascular work-outs are truly not needed. Follow a 1500 calories a day eating diet and you WILL loose weight.

I would know. I've lost 90 pounds.

i knew a guy i worked with that his diet consisted of eating 3 plain hotdogs for lunch and a steak for dinner with nothing added to any of it and he lost alot of weight in a short time. He started off as a very big guy but if i were to guess i bet he lost atleast 100 lbs.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

He's also missed a lot of vital nutrients that you get in fruits and vegetables. I wouldn't recommend what he's done.

I would definitely recommend a healthier, greener eating plan and light to moderate cardio exercise. I would think it's actually better to eat all vegetables and fruits and supplement what you're missing from meats (iron etc) than the other way around.

When I went to see the doctor, he told me that exercise is best. Although I'm quite 'lean' at 72kg (158 lbs), I actually have a moderately fatty liver (equivalent to a middle aged moderate/heavy drinker) and I'm only 22 who rarely drinks.

Me, I don't think he would have gone anywhere - he knew that his best possible situation was with Green Bay, so unless the team had done something drastic like re-sign Favre to a new multi-year deal, I think his plan all along was to ride it out and wait his turn.

"Nonstopdrivel" wrote:

While I agree that he probably would not have left -- he seems like a pretty level-headed guy -- I'm curious why you think Green Bay represented the best option for Rodgers. There are other teams with arguably more talent he could have gone to.

If it had been me, I would have taken the opportunity to get PAID and get the hell away from the whole Favre situation - I admire the kid's willingness to play his hand out.

"ILikeThePackers39" wrote:

While I'm sure the temptation was there, but considering he only had a little more than 3 quarters of regular-season experience, I don't think he would have made more money elsewhere. I think Thompson signed him to a much more lucrative deal than he ever could have secured had he left in the offseason. What teams do you think would have broken the bank for a backup quarterback who'd never even started a regular-season game?

"ILikeThePackers39" wrote:

Your last response does a better job of expressing why I think he was better off in GB (and knew it) than I could - the coaches and FO folks in GB knew/felt that he was capable of being the starter and were willing to commit to that - perhaps after one more year w/ Brett (if we continue to play out the scenario of him returning). Other teams might have given him a similar shot, but combined with the receiver quality and his understanding of the system, I personally think that in his mind staying in GB was the best option to him. As you say, he's a level-headed guy, and I think his drop on draft day and years sitting behind Favre helped keep his ego in check and allowed him to see the situation clearly - and as you say, he wouldn't likely have gotten any more money to leave, or any assurance of a starting position. I think he knew this.

Thus I really don't believe he was ever considering leaving GB, unless he were to find himself staring at 2+ more years of riding the pine or something like that.

dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
