Defensive end.
Someone that can put FEAR into opposing QB's.
Last year, we had NO one that could do that. QB's had all day to find an open receiver, and i don't care HOW good you cover, you can't cover a guy forever.

3)WR (you watch DD 34 and GJ fa
3)OG
4) DE
5) LB
6)P
7)CB
8)Kr/pr
9)ILB
10)Value pick

1,2,3 are in order others will happen all over the place

I'd like to see a NT.

We have a huge need a DE too, but a solid NT is more important in the success of the 3-4. Plus, there's likely guys like Mitch King in the 3rd or 4th round that can be converted to DEs in our scheme.

I can't believe how people would think CB is a need. I many NFL experts have us taking Malcolm Jenkins and then dhpackr above wants him too. We Have Harris and Woodson, given they are old, but still clearly our starters. Tramon is the best nickel-back one could ask for, would start for many other teams. We have Patrick Lee, who has tons of potential, a 2nd rounder from last year. Will Blackmon deserves a spot with his CB skills, and he is also our main return guy and did a hell of a job with punts last year. And of course Jarrett Bush, whom I hate, but Ted Thompson can't seem to let go of him, because he's a "special teams gunner". Draft Malcolm Jenkins and we have 7 CBs who will make the 53-man roster. Most teams have 5. Then add the fact that we need to keep lots of LBs because we're not sure who works in the new system yet.

Final point: CB IS NOT A NEED!!

I think our biggest need would be a DE, one that can play that spot in a 3-4 look.

Cracked me up... for someone that is sick of the 3-4 4-3 talk.. then turns around and starts a defensive needs thread.. lol.

The irony.. you have to look into the alignment and shortcomings to answer this question.. no?

Yes, but see, that can be dealt with at a more appropriate time, like when they are close to quitting, which isn't happening now. You have to keep in mind that while you may think we need a CB because Woodson and Harris are old, we can't keep 7 CBs on a roster.

PS. By the time Harris quits, I think Tramon can be a starter, and when Woodson does, Lee has tapped into that almost unlimited potential of his.
