Each member whom wishes to participate submits a 1st round draft with their selections for each team.

The picks will be weighted by selection, something like 5pts for each pick correct in the first 10 picks.. 10 pts for each in the 10-20, 15 for 20-32... that can be discussed.. thinking is it will be harder to get picks correct later in the round.

We would need to come up with some sort of tiebreaker...

Any interest.. discuss it here and if there is enough interest we can put it together for next week.

Anyone game?

I would be, but as someone who doesn't follow college football that much, all the picks beyond nr. 10 don't mean that much to me.

If there's enough interest, I'll join though. Wouldn't want to be the one guy not getting in here. 😛

I'm in, but right now I am so whipped up about the paucity of NT options that I'm friggin' dizzy. Maybe in a week I'll have calmed down.

hahahahahaa i found this mock draft and they went around and had celebrities make the picks, here is what the packers got lol.

Green Bay Packers: None (Time Expired)
(By Steve Mariucci, NFL Network analyst)

Oh golly gosh darn, I'm so excited to be part of this incredible mock draft, hoo boy, let me tell you. This is such a hard pick, I bet you know. Jeepers, there are just so many great, great players available to me, I wish I could have them all, but that is against the rules. I just don't know whom to pick, all of these players are just so darn special, hoo boy. If I had to narrow it down, I'd say the Packers need a rush linebacker who can get to the quarterback, but we want to make sure we don't hurt the other quarterback. Golly, no. We just want to push him gently so he doesn't get hurt, gosh darn it. In fact, I sent a letter to Roger Goodell asking him to change to a 2-hand touch rule so no one gets hurt. But jeepers, I can't decide on a player to go with and hoo boy, this is going to take me a while...

What folly!

Who in the world can predict what Ted Thompson will do in the draft!!

How many people would have guessed Jordy Nelson?

Put the draft board on the dart board and give the monkey the darts.

First you have to predict which picks will be traded down.

Second where the new picks will be.

Third you have to predict which players with a higher round grade is still on the board.

Fourth what teams needs have not yet been met.

OR

You can dream up the most bizarre scenario you can and say:

1st round RB
2nd Round QB
3rd Round Center
and so on.

Such a contest requires a great deal of humor, unconventional thinking, and an openness to the unnatural (That's why you can count me in).

Last year I got one player right and Ted took him a round early.

No crystal ball will help you figure out a Ted Thompson draft.

The Lions, Bungles, and Vikings are sooooo much easier.

No point in doing a prediction for picks before the draft, because the trades mess it up. If we do it in the chat during the draft, and you must pick who's drafted when the team is on the clock, it would be far more interesting.

I actually listed some players I felt Thompson would consider with the first three picks last year and Jordy Nelson, Brian Brohm, and Pat Lee were among those I listed.

This year is far tougher though. The team has more needs than in years past which makes for more options.

Fantasy Football Jungle has a mock draft challenge. The points system is like 5 for correct, 3 for a pick off, 1, for two off and none beyond that. Anyways the winner gets a jersey of his choice.

IMO we should pick the 9 spot for greenbay ...
something like raji>orakpo>jenkins>brown>andre ... ie 5 guys and which order they will be meaning who is still on the board.

and cant like pick curry, j smith, monroe, or stafford since those guys are consistantly never near the 9 spot.

Martha Careful (1h) : I don't see it happening but I would sure love to see Houston pull the upset here
Mucky Tundra (2h) : *rebuffed
Mucky Tundra (2h) : Bears coaching search in trouble? Bears reached out to the Steelers about trading for Mike Tomlin and rebuffes per Schefter

beast (3h) : More consistent with their time and rest between games.
beast (3h) : I think all the AFC games should be on Saturday and all the NFC should be on Sunday (maybe reverse the order every year), to more consistent
Martha Careful (4h) : Don't you think teams with the byes should play Sunday? It is fairer to opponents to give an additional day. instead of short week.

Zero2Cool (17-Jan) : It'd be a wise move.

beast (15-Jan) : Cover 2, keep a CB and Safety over top of both WRs... and Hurts (like Rodgers) is overly careful and doesn't like any risk in his throws.

Zero2Cool (14-Jan) : Didn't watch the game so can't say
Mucky Tundra (14-Jan) : Anyone else abhor MNF wildcard games?
Martha Careful (14-Jan) : Why is it that the Rams rookies can contribute right away but our first and second year guys are too young to contribute in a meaningful way
Martha Careful (14-Jan) : Yes, Saquon Barkley had a very nice game. But he has a much better offensive line in front of him. I'll take Josh Jacob's. I love the guy
