I actually had the chance, when he first started with the Packers. It was during "OTA's" (organized team activities). A bunch of us fans were standing by the fenced in parking area where the players park, when Rodgers got out of his vehicle and started walking to the locker room. Everyone was yelling for him to come over to sign autographs, and he ignored it.........that is, until i started singing "It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood" (the theme song from "Mr. Rodgers") at the top of my lungs! He stopped dead in his tracks, everyone started laughing, and he laughed and pointed at me and said "If you don't stop singing that song, i'm not going to sign!" He then came right over and started signing! He signed my mini helmet for me, and i said "Thank you Mr. Rodgers", he said to me "No "Mr. Rodgers", Mr. Rodgers is my Dad, i'm JUST Aaron!"
I liked him right away.
I hope he keeps up that attitude and doesn't let it blow his ego up.

Once he comes back hes walking with Matt Flynn he signd my football and Matt looked at me then just looked down because I didn't want his. Till this day I still feel pretty bad about it.

That's pretty amazing, indeed. He seems like a great guy.

Bit off-topic, but does stuff like this happen often? I mean, if you can visit their training location etc. do they often sign autographs and stuff?

If only these freakin' plain tickets wouldn't be around 750 Euro's.

Ya if you go to any games and kinda stand where the players drive in their little area you'll see them walking into the stadium most just keep walking but like Cheesey if you some how get them to come over they sign something. I usually rush right when they open the doors to get by the seat area and stand by the tunnel n try to talk to players as they walk out.

I would have asked for his too.....after all, you NEVER know who might end up being the "star" player! If it's Flynn, you are gonna be kicking yourself for a LONG time!

And yeah Zombie, it is an old story. I figured some of the newer people here might enjoy it. Heck, that had to be 2005 when it happened. But it WAS cool!

Alot depends on how many fans are there, how busy the players are that day, their mood....alot goes into it. But i stood there for one whole day during OTA'a with my helmet, HOPING for one or two autographs, and look what i got.

PasckAttack001, to give you an example........Don Majkowski was our starting QB. But a young guy, a virtual "unknown", was coming off the practice field. He still got mobbed by alot of people, but i waited in line, figuring "why not TRY to get his autograph, who knows, maybe he will be a star someday!"
When i got up to him he looked over my shoulder and said "Man.....isn't this line EVER gonna end?" And i said to him "I don't care, cause I'm up here!!!!" That made him laugh! The following picture is the actual card i had him sign for me.

I had NO idea at the time.....NONE......that he would become a future Hall of Famer.
Sure glad NOW that i took the time in line!
