Let's take a hypothetical situation:

Perhaps even that Adams was injured when #12's massive ego fell on him. A link to an article written by Greg Jennings or Jermichal Finley might follow.

Occam's Razor would suggest the more likely reason is the Packers signed Ryan Grant because they have a few injured WRs and need a healthy one.
