Is Davante due to be resigned then as well? Rodgers will be making 35, both Smiths at 15+, Davante will need 20 and Bakhtiari and Clark probably will as well. That is a hell of a lot of money to devote to 6 guys.

I don’t understand why people think Rodgers has lost it, or why people think it’s okay to trade/cut the best player in football 😂

Won't the cap be going up every year? Also, isn't there likely to be a new CBA and possibly an uncapped year in the near future?

The Cap has been increasing at about a 6% rate yearly under the new CBA. 6% of this years cap is over 10 million. We can afford it.. should we... that is a whole different question based on roster, plan and the players themselves.

Liquid cash is the concern in GB.. hence the Titletown experience./etc trying to rake in as much cash as possible to keep the coffers full to roll out those bonuses.

Remember what happened the last time there was an "uncapped" year? The two teams that treated it as such had that cap space taken back the next year and lost draft picks if I remember right. So let's not assume the uncapped year gives us a free pass to pay anyone whatever we want. Do you think a new CBA is suddenly going to increase the cap by significantly more than 10 million per year as the current one does? I don't expect the owners to agree to giving the players a bigger piece of the pie without a significant offer from the players, such as 18 games. The start of new tv deals again (whenever that is) might do that again though.
