I was hoping for one of the Devins. I think the Steelers screwed us, but pretty sure the Bengals were going for Bush as well. Curse you overtime Jets win.

What position do you think we would be looking for? I think we re-sign our own guys Martinez and hopefully get a good deal for Kenny. I don't see us looking around at much else looking at the line-up as it stands.

Actually there have been a few suggestions made by others. I don't think they will look for a big name, first string player who is equal to Daniels' talent. What I meant to imply is Gute is not shy when it comes to adding FAs to the roster so he might do it again.

They will keep an eye on the TEs. As been said, ILB. Perhaps the OL. More depth in the secondary. It's a passing league and you can always use another quality DB. Perhaps a look at a punter or kicker.

Gutey us not going to give up on Oren Burks after 1 year, especially when he traded up for him.
That being said, ILB Curtis Bolton, Oklahoma, is 1 of only 3 UDFA"s who received a signing bonus.($7,009)
Usually those guys are the ones the team thinks have the best shot at making the team.

No comp pick. Teddy isn't running the show any longer. Gute will be looking to bring in 2-3 more FA next year.

OC: Linsley

DL: Daniels, Clark, Lowry,
ILB: Martinez,
DB: Tramon

The cap might force Gute to take it easy in FA one of these next two years even if he doesn't like it... since he's going to be resigning some of those to decent sized contracts.

Perhaps an ILB to go beside of Martinez? That’s the one position I was really hoping we would upgrade in this draft, and we didn’t. Maybe Ty Summers will surprise people. He looks good on the film I’ve seen of him.

I thought since Burks draft day, that he was a year 3 guy... I think he'll show improvement, but he won't be fully developed for a couple of years.

OK, on its surface it may not seem like a great idea.

But....what if:
• You felt Wilkerson was healthy and signed him to another “prove it” deal
 • You could trade Daniels for a strong proven offensive guard or tackle.
 • And let’s assume this player had a little bit time on his contract, and that his contract was more team friendly.
• You then free up salary-cap space to fill another hole or two..,,Just saying...In the world of hypotheticals anything is plausible.
