This is why I really hated it when we talked about bad choices due to health. I was fearful those saying it, were onto something. I feel bad for this guy. The dude is absolutely the least egocentric person I've ever read about. How he was able to be GM, then take a backseat and do what he did for the Packers is truly remarkable.

I remarked a few times over his last couple of years in Green Bay that he was looking increasingly cadaverous. In his press conferences, he was having trouble completing his sentences. He looked to me like a cancer patient. I'm really curious what's wrong with him. I feel sorry for the guy: he's elderly, sick, unmarried, and without children.

It's too bad. I think a lot of Packer fans have been concerned about him for a few years. I realize that there were some who blamed his health on his job performance. They might have been linked but it really doesn't matter. I simply hope he is able to enjoy his life and do what he wants to do for however long it is. When his time is at an end that he is able to go with some dignity and as much privacy as he desires.
