Thought it might be interesting to compile some mock draft picks for the Packers. I've only taken into account mock drafts that have been updated in the last week... And Daniel Jeremiah's mock, because you have to, really.

Most interesting to me is how our picks are all over the board. There's mocks going for Noah Fant at 12, with him going to us at 30 and mocks that don't even have him as a first rounder. I imagine he'll go somewhere between our first and second pick. He's just too good to stick around 'till 30.

What all but one have in common is that we're picking a receiving option in round 1. I hope Gute is thinking the same thing. I'd love to see us pick a guy like Campbell if we trade down or even take a shot at Metcalf.

I wouldn't be that happy with A.J. Brown at 30 as a couple of these mocks have us picking. I don't feel like we need another guy with a good frame, ball skills and hands, but who can't seperate. I'd rather go Marquise Brown. The exact opposite. That'd really open up the offense, combined with the guys we already have on the roster.

I'm not sure what people see in that DK Metcalf. He didn't tear it up vs college kids, what makes us think he's gonna tear it up vs professionals? He reminds me of another Matt Jones.

Metcalf maybe 2nd, but I think even that's a gamble. I wasn't too impressed by the highlights I saw.

Hockenson or Fant? I have not decided. Hockenson out-produced Fant but Fant has better measurables. Either way I am not sure I want a TE at 12 unless he is heads and shoulders better.
As for #12 I am not sure, maybe Cody Ford if he's available. That gives him a year to develop before he takes over.

WPR wondered

I am more interested in whether a guy can effectively and willingly stick his nose in a linebacker’s face and try and block him. I would much prefer Hockenson.

That notwithstanding, I still would probably not take a tight end at 12....30 perhaps.

He was widely considered the #1 Te until fant ran his 40 in 4.51. Then suddenly can't went from 2nd or 3rd best to 1 in some drafts/eyes. TJ all the way.
BAD EMAIL because the address couldn ot be found, or is unable to receive mail.

I'd take either tight end with our #30 and pass on both at #12.
