We've seen a lot of known names being let go or not re-signed last couple seasons, how does this make you feel? Clay Matthews III, Randall Cobb, Ty Montgomery, Nick Perry, John Kuhn and Jordy Nelson to name a few.

Personally, it's kind of like a who is who roster for me. Maybe I'm not following as closely, but outside of Mason Crosby and Aaron Rodgers, I feel like most of these guys are pretty unknown. Yeah, we have David Bahktiari, Bryan Bulaga and few others, but it just feels like who the hell would you buy a jersey with?

Anyhow, what are your thoughts? For me, it just feels kind of depressing that I don't really know many of the Packers players too well as I used to.

Once I finally get some computer time I was planning to do a breakdown on the roster. Some holes filled, many remain.

A Davante Jersey. Or Alexander.
BAD EMAIL because the address couldn ot be found, or is unable to receive mail.

As another recently commented, nastagellia has it's place, but one can't allow the past to keep you from moving on to an improved and highly competitive team. The veterans truly have their place on the Packers, yet it will require speed, youth, and a fine sharp edge to win the NFC Championship and move on to the next SB Trophy.
New blood is the order of the day and the upcoming draft will punctuate that point sharply.

[cheers]

Ty Montgomery would have been an interesting utility guy for LeFleur. Dude blew it tho. Can't have that kind of bullshit on the team. I don't even like it from 12.

Now you “youngins” know what I felt like back in 1969!😂
The old guard leaving and new guys coming in.
Most of the guys that left were past their prime. Matthews a perfect example. Cobb wasn’t as good as he was just a few years ago.
I see a bright future with our 2 RBs, and our 2nd year WRs.
And the new additions on defense give me hope.
Yes, we still have holes to fill. But hopefully the draft works out.
One thing that scares me is Davante Adams. He is our “star” WR. But he has had a few awful concussions. One more, and he could be gone.

~ FS (draft)
~ coverage ILB (Burk/Jones competition)
~ Blocking TE
~ Power RB (preferably who can be a receiving option)

Though I STILL think keeping Cobb over Nelson was one of the stupidest decisions I've seen, especially when Nelson tried to come back for cheap... sign him for cheap and release Cobb and save money (and IMO get the better player, at least while Rodgers is throwing to them). If nothing else the Rodgers/Nelson chemistry on short yardage.

And I think Gute knew very damn well he was rebuilding for the future and not now with that decision as Gute talked about one of the goal with that move was to set Adams up as the clear #1 guy... which I think had to be clear to everyone, other than Rodgers chemistry reactions.

Gutey made some bold moves, moves that say he wants to win this year.
Hopefully they all work out

Looking ahead to 2020

Mike Daniels DE GB UFA -
Bryan Bulaga RT GB UFA -
Tramon Williams CB GB UFA -
Mason Crosby K GB UFA -
Marcedes Lewis TE GB UFA -
Jason Spriggs T GB UFA -
Kapri Bibbs RB GB UFA -
Kyler Fackrell OLB GB UFA -
Dean Lowry DE GB UFA -
Blake Martinez ILB GB UFA -
Trevor Davis WR GB UFA -
Geronimo Allison WR GB

Off the books after 2019
Daniels, Bulaga, Williams, Crosby and Grahahm(not ufa)
Adds up to apprx 45mil., add another apprx 10mil that the salary cap should go up, The Packers could go into 2020 season with apprx 55mil to spend.
Some of these guys will get resigned, some will not.
Orher than Allison, and Lewis, the rest will be looking to sign 2nd contracts

All in all The Packers are looking solid moving foward .
