I guess if I were an aspiring football coach, especially if I wanted to be a head coach, I would not want to do special teams. Lot's of blame, very little glory. Plus, they never seem to get serious consideration for the top job.

GB needs a WR Coach. I hope that they hire a real good one. 🤔

Reports say that Alvis Whitted will be GB's new WR Coach. Following 7 seasons as Colorado State's WR Coach, he is projected to be very good and should fit into the new offense well. 👍

So there is an up and a down to it...

But yeah my first thought as future group of coaches was Chiefs' ST coach Dave Toub, as Packers head coach, with Mike Pettine and Kliff Kingsbury as the coordinators... of course that idea was ruined when Kingsbury signed with USC, and then MM turned down the Cardinals job and they looked at Kingsbury... and now he's Cardinals head coach.

If you followed the Packers through the 70's and 80's, coaching changes should make you a tad nervous.
I'm a tad nervous!
Let us Green Bay Packers fans hope this all works out.

Speaking of which, Cheeshead TV ran a poll on which Packer coach was the greatest of all time. The responses had Holmgren (1 SB) and McCarthy (1 SB) tied; with Lombardi third (5 NFL championships in 9 years (including three championships in a row and the first two SBs)). Curly Lambeau (6 NFL championships) didn't even make the list. One of their writers took exception and made the case for Lombardi as the greatest Packers coach:

https://cheeseheadtv.com/blog/defending-the-greatness-of-vince-lombardi-539

Here are the results to the Cheesehead TV Poll of who is the Greatest Packers Coach of all Time:
- Vince Lombardi 28%
- Mike Holmgren 36%
- Mike McCarthy 36%

I would have ranked them Lombardi, Lambeau, Holmgren.

I found the comments at the end to be entertaining...

I find it sad the amount of drug abuse in this country. The people that named MM better that Holmgren or Lombardi definitely have a substance abuse problem.

What speaks the most about MM's greatness is that he is still unemployed.
