The INT Kizer threw wasn't that bad, the one that was dropped was.

Still, overall I thought Kizer showed some good things. He needs a QB guru to develop him. He was making good reads all night, he was just out of sync with the WRs. That sort of timing would come in practice, if he was getting regular reps. He'd get that if he was playing regularly, so I'm not as worried about that.

He's not there yet, but I thought he looked like he was on his way.

He may be better than Hundley but 16/35 for 132 yards isn't very impressive.

Nerd, I can't argue with you, but I tired of settling for low expectations. He was rusty, but missed alot (if 12 missed that many you would have been all over his ass.)

I am also growing tired of the "out of sync" argument with any QB and any receiver. Run the frigging route and through the damn ball. Its not that complicated. Other teams do it with back up QB's and backup receivers. We can't and don't. Its largely because our system (hopefully our old system) sucks.

We settle too easily for mediocrity.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, there is something about the guy I like, unlike Hundley. I never saw "it" in Hundley. Kizer seems poised and driven, and not afraid. Yes, he made some bad decisions, but, just like with 12 back there, I am not seeing guys running wide open. He really needs to improve his accuracy.

I have no issue with however Deshonne Kizer played today. I missed it, because, of course, another damn Christmas party. You ever realize how free you are when you're single and don't gotta go to six different damn parties in December, plus work? My lord.

Anyhow, I'm just eager to see what the new coaching regime does in 2020. 2019 is gonna be a feeling out year.

I suppose, Kizer did add 40 yards rushing on four carriers.

This is great tete a tete, but I think we have move a bit off thread topic, i.e. Kizer. If he is not the guy, we need a guy like Gabbaert who has plenty of NFL reps, who wants a shot at title.
