So u are telling me Mike McCarthy coached up rodgers to be one of the greats? U cant coach accuracy and mobility, thats something the players has to get better at which rodgers did with practice and patience. Sitting for 3 years helped rodgers moreso then fat boy. Where was he at when Rodgers was begging to be coached up after the horrid 2015 season? No where. Cuz he isnt a coach or a qb guru. Never has been and never will be. U guys are clueless when it comes to this. Only fan boys and facebook users think Mike McCarthy is a great coach. Anyone with a lick of football knowledge can tell u he wqs the issue of holding back this offense and ots not just rodgers who called it out.

Aaron wasn't "begging to be coached" in 2015, he was begging for his yes-man Tom Clements to have more power in the organization. How'd that turn out btw?

Aside from Rich Gannon, let's look at another QB that also had experience, but wasn't as good elsewhere: Matt Flynn. Mike got more out of Flynn than anyone else in the league was able to get.

You can't be this football ignorant.

Go back and watch video of Aaron in preseason when he was a rookie.
As Zero said, he was a Tedford taught qb..
He held the ball up high by his ear
He had terrible footwork
He was stiff.
Aaron himself has said he was nowhere ready to play his 1st year.
Mike taught Aaron how to be an NFL qb.

[it's] not just rodgers who called it out.

Mike McCarthy has more than his fair share of faults, to be sure, but to blame him for all of this team's shortcomings is beyond shortsighted.

Mike McCarthy is no longer the Green Bay Packers Head Coach. I believe most fans would have been fine (if not wanted/demanded) this outcome after the 2014 season.

I was one of them that after 2014, I felt McCarthy was a good coach, just needed a new start. And that the Packers also needed that new start too. I thought the same about Andy Reid and the Eagles too. I would put Mike Tomlin in that category as well, and to a lesser degree, even John Harbaugh.

I'm thankful for McCarthy though.
I got to see Charles Woodson win a Super Bowl wearing a Packers uniform.
I got to see Brett Favre turn into a better QB under McCarthy.
I got to see Aaron Rodgers develop into a potential Hall of Fame QB.
I got to see two playoff games with my daughters and father.

I'm very thankful for everything McCarthy has done for the Packers and I hope the best for him.

He's one helluva classy guy. He took the high road after being let go. You'll read more about it later (I hope).

Really enjoy these stories about Mike McCarthy. I hope he lands on his feet somewhere and equally hope we land on our feet even better. We're gonna be lucky to have someone 3/4 the man Mike was and half the coach.
