Mike McCarthy is no longer the Green Bay Packers Head Coach. I believe most fans would have been fine (if not wanted/demanded) this outcome after the 2014 season.

I was one of them that after 2014, I felt McCarthy was a good coach, just needed a new start. And that the Packers also needed that new start too. I thought the same about Andy Reid and the Eagles too. I would put Mike Tomlin in that category as well, and to a lesser degree, even John Harbaugh.

I'm thankful for McCarthy though.
I got to see Charles Woodson win a Super Bowl wearing a Packers uniform.
I got to see Brett Favre turn into a better QB under McCarthy.
I got to see Aaron Rodgers develop into a potential Hall of Fame QB.
I got to see two playoff games with my daughters and father.

I'm very thankful for everything McCarthy has done for the Packers and I hope the best for him.

He's one helluva classy guy. He took the high road after being let go. You'll read more about it later (I hope).

Thanks for the playoff victories vs the Cowboys! Loved watching the Cowboys dreams die like they did. And the 2013 comeback victory with Flynn at the helm.

Good post. In my opinion, MM deserves credit for facilitating the success the Packers have had with him on the staff over the past two decades.

He probably should have moved on after the NFC championship game loss against the Seahawks but here we are.

Anyways, thank you Mike. I think you tried your best to make Green Bay the best team you could.

He never threw his players under the bus, was good Packer people, and if not for PLAYERS making the choice to kneel after a pick or bumble an onside kick, he would have led the team to 2 Super Bowls.

The heat is turning up on Aaron “Burt” Rodgers. He’s running out of scapegoats.

This is the class I was referring to.

Also, Jay reported many NFL coaches called and texted him saying Packers should have waited until end of season.

I'm thankful for his time with the Packers. But it's time to move on. I hope both parties find success in their new journeys.

Only packers game I have attended in green bay was December 9 2007 when they blasted the raiders. I went to that game after traveling from Canada, British Columbia specifically. So thanks, mike, for having the team up and ready for the raiders that day and not ruining my trip. And also 2011.

packerfanoutwest (27-Jul) : beer and brats woke? say whom?
beast (27-Jul) : I don't want to get into politics, but how is, beers and brats considered to be "woke"? Food is food...
beast (27-Jul) : That being said, I'm not saying all 100% should be that way, but not surprised if majority are Wisconsin based
beast (27-Jul) : And if everyone has heard of them, then it it probably has less growth potential and less community based

dfosterf (25-Jul) : It's my one day deal complaint dept. on shareholder meeting day
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Probably a homer access credential intimidation kinda thing
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Meathead "journalists" skip this, concentrating on operational revenue when convenient. They switch when net revenue is more favorable.
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Resulting in an actual drop of net revenue of 12.5%. She is from Minnesota. Just sayin'

dfosterf (25-Jul) : Possibly hit his head leaning into the glass protecting the food in the cafateria
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Maybe a low flying drone
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Did Savion Williams run into a goalpost or something?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jul) : also, no bueno when a guy starts getting concussions right off the bat in his career
Zero2Cool (25-Jul) : Concussion is worse. Banks probably vet off day via back booboo claim
Mucky Tundra (25-Jul) : @AndyHermanNFL Jordy Nelson out at camp today. No word if he’s in play for one of the two open roster spots ; )
