I say bring him on. I'm not afraid of him. He's 17-20 for his career, for godsake.

Actually the Broncos are 17-20. And their defense has been terrible. Ranked 30th last year.

Well played Jay and Buss.. I hope they ship your asses to Detroit and then you can play out your days similar to Vandy.. praying for .500.

He's a good QB, without a doubt. He was in about the same sitution as GB was last year. He might've had a slightly better O-line, but their FB was their starting RB... until he got injured aswell.

It'll be pretty scary if he comes to the NFC North. Especially the Vikings (Unlikely as it seems to me). He does seem to like to keep his Int numbers close to his TD numbers, though, so we might take advantage of that with our corners. Especially if we can get a pass rush this season.

The Vikings don't have much to give for him, though - I suppose a 3-team deal is possible, but I have to think that Denver will need a viable QB out of this deal somehow, which the Vikes surely do not have to give.

If he comes to the NFC North there'll have to be a 3-team deal, because none of them have anything to give in return as far as a QB. Hell, the Packers are in the best position to make a deal like that out of any of the NFCN teams (and of course the team that needs Cutler the least).

I should add that the only scenario that's scary is if he went to Minny. Detroit and Chicago have other roster issues and he's not going to fix those (plus they'd have to trade a good current player and draft picks, hurting their ability to plug those other holes). He's a damn good QB, but he can't play defense or block for himself. Minny, that would be frightening.

I don't necessarily think they have to get a QB in return for him.. Leftwich and Garcia are both on the table yet.. either of them could compete with Simms for the starting spot. Actually I can't believe Leftwich is still available.. with all these teams with question marks at the QB.

I think the Broncs will do everything in their power to keep him out of the AFC unless someone like the Jets overpay..

Looking around the league.. the darkhorse in this thing is Carolina.. Peppers and a draft pick for Cutler.. seems logical except in terms of cap numbers.. do the spend happy Broncs have enough space? Or can they make enough space?

Good call on Carolina, Z - Denver would certainly love to get a defensive stud out of the deal.

My thinking is that if they're looking to help McDaniels out they'll want a QB - it's one thing to have the Favre situation go down when you've got a capable understudy to step in (and even then, how many fans despise our GM and HC because of it?), but I have to think that a miserable season w/ a second-tier old guy in @ QB would spell D-O-O-M for McDaniels, especially since his hands are so very, very dirty on this one.

But you do make a good point - a team with a real defensive monster could look pretty attractive to the Broncos as well.

Please...to all things holy...do not let this guy get into the NFC North. Even if you think he's over hyped, he's a much better option than any QB outside of Aaron Rodgers.

I'm not sure why so many people are so afraid of the NFC North getting better at the QB position. Did you ever consider that maybe if we are playing better QB's our defense would up its game?

You don't get better by playing weak talentless QB's.

As for the Bronco's getting Peppers, I don't see that one happening. Even if they are using the 3 - 4 scheme that Peppers is craving. I think the Panthers are still set on using Delhomboy at QB. I could be mistaken on that though.

A Chicago insider was on Espn first take? and said that he knows the Bears will make a play for him..It remains to be seen if it will be enough..He also added that when the rumors started last week the Bears were one of the teams to call Denver

John Clayton from Espn says that the Lions and Bears are the 2 front runners right now and maybe throw in cleveland with a 3 way deal. Possible scenario is Detroit gets Cutler, Broncos get Brady Quinn, and Cleveland gets the #1 pick. Hope they have money to pay for 2 top 10 draft picks.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Zero2Cool (9m) : I wanna kill new QB's ... blitz the crap out of them.
beast (10m) : Barry seemed to get too conservative against new QBs, Hafley doesn't have that issue
Zero2Cool (1h) : However, we seem to struggle vs new QB's
Zero2Cool (1h) : Should be moot point, cuz Packers should win tonight.
packerfanoutwest (1h) : ok I stand corrected
Zero2Cool (1h) : Ok, yes, you are right. I see that now how they get 7th
Zero2Cool (1h) : 5th - Packers win out, Vikings lose out. Maybe?
beast (1h) : Saying no to the 6th lock.
beast (1h) : No, with the Commanders beating the Eagles, Packers could have a good chance of 6th or 7th unless the win out
Zero2Cool (1h) : I think if Packers win, they are locked 6th with chance for 5th.
beast (1h) : But it doesn't matter, as the Packers win surely win one of their remaining games
beast (1h) : This is not complex, just someone doesn't want to believe reality
beast (1h) : We already have told you... if Packers lose all their games (they won't, but if they did), and Buccaneers and Falcons win all theirs
Zero2Cool (1h) : I posted it in that Packers and 1 seed thread
Zero2Cool (1h) : I literally just said it.
packerfanoutwest (1h) : show us a scenario where Pack don't get in? bet you can't
Zero2Cool (1h) : Falcons, Buccaneers would need to win final two games.
Zero2Cool (1h) : Yes, if they win one of three, they are lock. If they lose out, they can be eliminated.
packerfanoutwest (1h) : as I just said,,gtheyh are in no matter what
Zero2Cool (1h) : Packers should get in. I just hope it's not 7th seed. Feels dirty.
packerfanoutwest (1h) : If packers lose out, no matter what, they are in
packerfanoutwest (1h) : both teams can not male the playoffs....falcon hold the tie breaker
packerfanoutwest (1h) : if bucs win out they win their division
beast (2h) : Fine, Buccaneers and Falcons can get ahead of us
packerfanoutwest (2h) : falcons are already ahead of us
beast (2h) : Packers will get in
beast (2h) : If Packers lose the rest of their games and Falcons win the rest of theirs, they could pass us... but not gonna happen
packerfanoutwest (2h) : they still are in the playoffs
packerfanoutwest (2h) : If Packers lose the remaining games,,,,at 10-7
Zero2Cool (4h) : We can say it. We don't play.
Mucky Tundra (5h) : But to say they are in is looking past the Saints
Mucky Tundra (5h) : That said, their odds are very favorable with a >99% chance of making the playoffs entering this week's games
Mucky Tundra (5h) : Packers are not in and have not clinched a playoff spot.
buckeyepackfan (6h) : Packers are in, they need to keep winning to improve their seed#.
Mucky Tundra (14h) : Getting help would have been nice, but helping ourselves should always be the plan
beast (15h) : Too bad Seahawks couldn't beat Vikings
bboystyle (15h) : We just need to win Monday night and were in
Mucky Tundra (18h) : Or ties, but let's be real here
Mucky Tundra (18h) : Other scenario was Falcons+Rams losses
Mucky Tundra (18h) : Needed a Falcons loss for a Seahawk loss to clinch
buckeyepackfan (19h) : Am I wring in saying if Tge Vikings beat The Seahawks, The Packers clinch?
Mucky Tundra (21-Dec) : Agreed; you stinks
Zero2Cool (21-Dec) : I'm not beating anyone. I stinks.
Mucky Tundra (21-Dec) : rough injury for tank dell. guy can't catch abreak
beast (21-Dec) : So far the college playoffs have sucked... One team absolutely dominates the other
beast (21-Dec) : Well even if you weren't positive towards a guy, you wouldn't nessarily want to tell the media that (if they don't know about it)
Martha Careful (21-Dec) : I think MLF want Love to look past the end half issues, and feel good about his play. Our coaches generally keep a very positive tone.
beast (21-Dec) : I think a great running game will do that for most QBs
packerfanoutwest (21-Dec) : Coach Matt LaFleur has said quarterback Jordan Love is playing the best football of his career.
beast (21-Dec) : Oh, that's how you keep beating buckeye, with cheating
