Its been years since we have been able to run on 3rd and short. So we stopped trying. Our guards simply dont create movement.

Nevertheless, we have to try more often.

We bunch everyone in tight, miss a key block and get stuffed. Rarely do we have 2 wideouts, which would afford a slant or RPO. It is a combination of bad scheming and bad execution.

In obvious rushing situations the Packers have gotten blown up for years. The offensive line is a finesse run blocking line. While I'd like to see them run more often in third down situations, the Packers have been horrible running outside for years (although Jones seems to have more talent in that category than I've seen in many years) and when the chips are down, they get blown up at the point of attack inside. Which is why we usually pass.

For the record, the Packers are #19 in the league. Below average but not horrible. Frankly they get into way too many third and longs.
