Would you rather he threw 15 more interceptions, like Favre would do???

I mean, there's instances where it's good to hang onto it more than 3 seconds. But fundamentally, those are exceptions to the rule. That's why I say, average it out over the season, AND add in some incentives for HFA, playoff wins and SB.

Give something, to get something.

1	Aaron Rodgers 103.8 2005-2017
2	Russell Wilson 98.8 2012-2017
3	Tom Brady 97.6 2000-2017
4	Tony Romo 97.1 2004-2016
5	Steve Young+ 96.8 1985-1999
6	Drew Brees 96.7 2001-2017
7	Peyton Manning 96.5 1998-2015
8	Philip Rivers 94.8 2004-2017
9	Ben Roethlisberger 94.0 2004-2017
10	Kirk Cousins 93.7 2012-2017
10 Kurt Warner+ 93.7 1998-2009

So why do teams put incentives in contracts? To try and insure better results. Unless of course the incentive is based on games played. Aaron might be the best QB ever. At least based on statistics. There is no need to tell him to hold the ball or don't hold the ball. He is 5 points better than the next closest qb. He knows what he is dong. Even if nerdmann doesn't agree with it. Sorry. Sucks to be you I guess.

You can’t put an incentive like “hit the open guy” in a contract.
Or “holding onto the ball too long”.
Otherwise your QB will be thinking about that, so he doesn’t screw himself out of money, instead of trying to win a game.
As far as counting “super bowl rings”, other then Brady, no current QB has more then one more then Rodgers.
So I guess all of the other teams in the NFL have QBs that hold the ball too long or doesn’t hit the open guy.
I’m sure AR wants to win the super bowl. And he is doing whatever he can to win. But he HAS to get some help.
Even Tom Brady wouldn’t have all those rings if he didn’t have a strong defense and good offense to back him up.

Holding the ball is not the problem...getting drilled after or while holding the ball is the problem.

The solution...an incentive for games played:
- x for each regular season game played
- 5x for every playoff game played
- 20x for every SuperBowl played

Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Oo just saw a blurb saying that Dallas negotiated directly with Parsons and not through his agent
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I assumed that both guys will get paid, just a matter of when or how we get there
Zero2Cool (1-Aug) : McLaurin nor Micah going anywhere. They will get money
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : the Synder years or do they take care of one of their own?
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Do the Commanders risk losing a top WR with an emerging QB just because he's turning 30 and potentially risk damaging the rebuild from
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Turns 30 this September, plays at a high level and Washington has some cap space I believe
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : More interesting is Washington with Terry McLaurin

Mucky Tundra (27-Jul) : @JacobMorley Shoutout to Quinn Ewers for allowing Matthew Golden to be available when Green Bay picked.
