This really sucks, but hopefully Josh Jones can step in if this is a serious injury.

According to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com, Packers safety Kentrell Brice was just carted off the field with a leg injury, which was suffered during special teams work. Brice, a former undrafted rookie, was [more]

I don't trust Josh Jones yet. I think he's got a ways to go. This is definitely the more concerning injury considering the numbers we have at this position. DL and LB has far more depth. This is why you consider Rollins for S/LB hybrid earlier. Edit: Right now, it's more opportunity for Jones and Evans and Whitehead are. If it's serious, we have to start looking back into FAs because every year Brice has something.

Perhaps with run defense but no one expected much for Ryan when it came to defending the pass. There are a number of LBs who have been playing very well thus far. Lots of depth there.

And with Pettine's reported appeal for versatile players, that he could adjust roles and surprise offenses with, I was thinking might might see some sort of twist, or an inside rush from say Matthews, and Ryan going to the outside to hold the edge, which I think he, with his power, might be able to do better than Fackrell has shown so far.

Looking like Ryan and Brice could be done for the year, although there's a little bit of hope for Brice.

Too bad although neither are major starters they're both key contributors. Hopefully Jones is ready and they find another ILB to play base.

When you guys say "looking like they are done for the year" you really need to post the source that makes it look that way. Thanks

Given Ryan has tore his knee up before (he knows how it feels) and the reaction of the players/coaches I feel 90% confident the MRI will confirm it tomorrow.

What a terrible shame. Always loves Brice's hard hitting tough nosed play.
