Got to thinking about the "Stork" today.. and the "trade" that sent him to Oakland.. we basically got two first round picks for Ted...

So, Crazy Al Davis calls the Packers before the draft this season and offers us two First's for player X...

Which players on the roster today would you not trade for two first round picks?

Are there any?

I'd go for Rodgers, as that would leave us with no good QBs. We could draft one like Freeman or Sanchez in this case, but that's still a big gamble.

Maybe Cullen Jenkins, but being able to Draft Raji combined with an elite OLB, would be to good to pass on.

Jennings might be safe aswell in this case. How often do you find a receiver that pans out like this. Crabtree might have alot of potential, but still, he is kind off a question mark and I don't see either Jones or Nelson being a 1200 yard receiver in this point of their careers.

Everyone would be fair game for 2 #1's. That would give us 3 1st rounders. And remember this is the NFL and everyone is replaceable so come Detroit who do you want for any of our players lol.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I believe we've had a thread exactly like this one before...

Anyway, I'd say Aaron Rodgers, and that's about it. There are a few, but wouldn't be extremely hard to replace.

I agree. I think a good QB is too hard to find and when you have one, you do not let him go for some potential players.

Rodgers would be one, Greg Jennings the other.
That said, i wouldn't let either of them leave. You get rid of them, it WOULD be back to the 1970's and 80's.

The "Mad Stork" wanted out of GB, so it made sense to pull the trigger on the trade.
I HATED seeing him go......he was a force.

OK. I'm not awake yet, so forgive me for asking a dumb question. But if I understand this right, it's who you WON'T give up for 2 #1 picks, right?

If so, AR and Gregorious. I'd hate to see Donald Driver, Woody, or Kampy go, but 2 #1 picks, I think the only people I wouldn't want to lose would be AR and Gregorious. You simply don't get rid of a blossoming QB who we all know has a ton of potential, a HUGE heart, a high IQ, is nearly perfect in the red zone, and isn't even five years from peaking.

And Greg Jennings has been known to punch through brick walls and knock out bad guys on the other side.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
