Apparently the Chiefs are overhauling their defense and having a fire sale of sorts. What do you feel is fair compensation from Packers to Chiefs for 25 year old CB Marcus Peters who's entering the final year of his rookie contract?

Chiefs might be moving on from Peters

I like the idea of Cobb and a pick in exchange. I am not sure who else we could trade. Haha perhaps has some value.

My only concern is there has been some talk that Peters has become a bit of a prima donna, but to be honest that often comes with the CB position.

That said, I do not want to see him trade away any #1 Draft Picks.

I don't think Mathews is as bad as you think he's obviously overpaid but not extremely. Of all the Packers rumored to be released (Cobb Nelson etc) Mathews would command the highest salary on the open market. Probably somewhere around 7-9 mil a year depending on terms.

I like the idea of trading for Peters but he's going to get paid handsomely in 2019 so you better make sure his head is on straight or its another Bennett situation.

I like the trade Cobb idea. Get out from under his contract and we could afford to resign Peters. I don't expect KC to want his contract though
BAD EMAIL because the address couldn ot be found, or is unable to receive mail.

Maybe if we get a good pass rush, it will make Mathews play at a higher level......I hope.

Why would KC want to trade a starting CB, who was a 1st round draft pick, for an older player that many people (especially Packer fans) feel is both overpaid and under performing?

Mucky Tundra (8h) : Now that's a thought, maybe they're looking at the college ranks? Maybe not head coaches but DC/assistant DCs with league experience?
beast (10h) : College Coaches wouldn't want that publicly, as it would hurt recruiting and they might not get the job.
beast (10h) : I thought they were supposed to publicly announce them, at least the NFL ones. Hafley was from college, so I believe different rules.
Mucky Tundra (10h) : Who knows who they're interviewing? I mean, nobody knew about Hafley and then out of nowhere he was hired
beast (13h) : I wonder what's taking so long with hiring a DL coach, 2 of the 3 known to interview have already been hired elsewhere.

Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
