If a player doesn't get into Hall of Fame in the first handful of tries, how do they get in decades later? Did they get better? Did the myths and legends grow so much they couldn't be ignored?

Good another Packers player is in, I just don't really see how a player gets voted in decades later.

No way to know how true that is. In any case it was an extreme injustice. When a player is voted the best guard during the first 50 years of football and to the All Decade team, among other accolades, and is the only player from either of those two teams not in the HOF, it certainly looks like some form of collusion.

I'm glad he is finally in. It would have been a shame if he would never have made it or if he had gotten in posthumously.
