This is interesting.

I could see Kuhn and Raji gone, easy. Starks too if Lacy hadn't regressed last year.

And I wouldn't actually be surprised if he trades up 5-10 picks to get Ezekiel Elliot if he doesn't go in the top 15 picks.

I watched Mike McCarthy talking yesterday. I concur with Aaron's comment to this tweet. Maybe there was some Mike vs Ted going on?

What Nagler missed completely is MM using the presser as a platform to say basically...none of this is my fault.

He was taking shots at Ted. It's clear that when Bob wrote about MMs frustration that is the subject of this thread that it was true.

I credit MM for at least standing there taking 30 minutes of questions even though he made excuses, got testy, and self promoted. It's pretty clear he's only grown in power through all of this.

Thank goodness for McGinn...he is the only guy who would've ever given us this peek into the tension between Ted Thompson and MM. I think we got plenty of corroboration yesterday that Bob's old story was right on the money...and should only buoy the fact that his recent piece is factual, also.

I screamed for years we weren't doing enough. Some validation for me here. Your HC just said football operations wasn't doing enough to win SBs. Had I said that...lol

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

We picked up Bennett and Kendricks and Evans as FAs this past season. Evans was a pretty great pick-up the other two were a waste. I do see the value in keeping guys you know work in your system with Ted's system of focusing to invest more in our own guys in FA. Keeping Jared Cook quickly looked like the better decision when it comes to TE with a bit of hindsight.

Ahmad Brooks
Jahari Evans
Ricky Jean Francios
Martellus Bennett
Lance Kendricks

We were active in free agency, which is what most of us have been asking for. We didn't go stupid crazy with money either.

Nearly all of us thought Bennett would be a good add, even to the running game. He's had the statistics to back him up as receiving TE too.

Don't call letting Lang walk and using FA to replace him with a lesser player using FA in the way fans want. We want BETTER players to enhance the roster not try to keep it the same.

Marty B. was more along the lines but still not a huge gap between him and Cook. He was still a substitute.

What I want is a GM who will look at HaHa and say not good enough and bring in a guy like Landon Collins. We trade 5 bucks for 5 bucks. Let's trade 5 bucks to get 10 bucks in return.

I actually liked what we did this offseason. I would have preferred Cook but had hopes for Bennett and liked we tried to "enhance" a position as you put it with Kendricks. Some of these moves, esp. Bennett and Brooks flopped, but I like the volume and caliber FA we're going after.

Hyde was obviously a mistake but I like how they're trying to plug holes on the roster. If memory serves me right, none of these guys count against our comp picks either.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
